bs. Your army has been updated with an eBook, and has been given new fluff and art. GW has confirmed new plastic models soon. We're not talking the soft gak that happened to your army. We are talking complete cessation of any more content. No official fluff, no official art, no hope for the future, ever again. If you cannot see the difference, you are simply blinded by spite and malice.

Why. Do. You. Care?
Do you think I have the power to make GW shut down?
Do you think my opinion on them is going to affect their operation?
If I wouldn't mind if they shut down, it's not going to make it happen.
I lack the power.

Because it's fething disturbing that someone is capable of wishing for the termination of future content, and the ruination of an entire hobby just out of raw spite, because they want new plastics now and aren't getting them. Having the power or not is irrelevant.

I genuinely get people feeling left out with factions such as the SoB (DE are another good example of a faction that is very infrequently updated with models). However, I think wishing that GW tumbles over and dies because of it is a needlessly bitter standpoint simply because you happen to be one of the unlucky folk.
By all means hold a degree of resentment, but wishing that everyone else should hold that same degree of bitter disappointment via GW collapsing isn't going to win you any awards for being reasonable around here.

No.
I'm wishing that I'll get plastic Sisters of Battle soon.
I would prefer if GW stays afloat to keep making those models.
The only extent to which I consider the shutdown of GW good is as a hypothetical example to make you guys understand how I feel.

If GW collapses then there is absolutely a 0% chance of them getting updated. Those are different

GW failing might be your best choice, if you're hoping for change. A franchise like 40k would never just die. Some other company would buy it and then, who knows...
Even if 40k just disappeared, "the hobby" wouldn't die. People would just migrate to other ( IMO better) systems. Which would mean a massive surge in players for Warmachine / X-Wing / Malifaux / etc.
Finally GW has worked really hard over many years to earn the reputation it has now. Don't blame the fans for justified backlash.

Nope this is not at all how you feel at all. Go and talk to some players who's favourite game company actually did go poof. Your failure to realise the difference between how Rackham players feel about the game and how you feel right now is bordering trollhood or insanity. Pick one I am out, this discussion is not going anywhere.

Sister players are now getting.
- You can order most minis to web order for decent prices.
- You can still order most paints you used to use.
- GW and Indep stores to play.
- Core rule updates
- Other players to play with.
- All sorts of hype from GW sites.
Now this all goes away when it goes *poof* over night.
It isn't just not getting updates, its paying 30$ a sister on ebay while at the same time rapidly losing stores to play in.
Gw not going *poof* is great ( except for my wallet and vacation plans )
-you can buy models on eBay
-you can use other paints than GW paints
-you can play in a club or non- GW store
-the current SoB Codex is a copy/paste of the 5e Codex
-other players can keep playing without new updates
-hype for stuff I don't care about
GW could've shut down years ago and I'd still be right where I am today.

Of course not.
I'd rather they just update my army properly.
But it is nice to fantasize about how people who played other armies would react if they didn't get any new models ever again.
Not well, as this thread is showing.
But its YOUR choice to play sisters. You must have known that it is a near squated army. And if you didnt, then you need to do research before making purchases. If you have been around for 13 years then you have had 8 years to move on to supported army. Either way the crux of the problem you face is in fact, yourself. There are certain realities people need to face in this hobby and as GW customers. As a chaos player I have to accept that I am collecting a punching bag army. I will never have an advantage or even be on par to the big 5. I dont know why, chaos sells, but its how it is.
People are not reacting in a negative way because we dont like the idea of our armies not being supported. We are reacting in this manner because the idea of someone as petty as you CURRENTLY sound being in the same hobby is not a pleasing thought. Look, you may be a decent guy/gal. You may be having a bad day. But no one on the internet knows that, all we know is what you have typed makes you look like a vindictive snowflake. I hate to throw insults. And I dont see anything ive typed as a insult. Im simply describing the way you come across with your recent posts. I do hope you end up feeling better about things. The hobby is supposed to bring joy, not spite.

Lets move away from insulting sister players. There are actually more sister players (3) in my local gaming group than for example BA or Ultra M players, and they are all fun to play against.
They have the best sculpts that you can get in the GW store, are adept tacticans, have fully painted armies and have generally are all nice persons to play against.

True, Squats do have it worse.
They've probably come to terms with it by now, since the army has been killed off entirely so there's not the constant allure that maybe they'll get their update.
