Good catch! It even has cabling along the top...we know Blackstone Fortress(Warhammer Quest...IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!) is coming at some point and it's supposed to be focused on the Black Legion. Would be a good spot to bring in a plastic Chaos Sorcerer clamshell as an homage to that guy.

I'm thinking darkoath or slaanesh- its got a general resemblance to how I could see slaangors ending up. (Though as stated else where, Id prefer a serpent-man slaangor that can pull double duty as Laer remnants in 40k)

It's the bow of a new ship from the ancient race of the WELSH. Bringing with them their mighty flocks of weresheep and ancient red dragons as they set sale from their wet and hilly lands to invade the Mortal Realms
Or yeah could be some new chaos sorcerer.

Yep. Just one of the first I've thought for sure would be a specific model. It was good of GW to give something so recognisable.

The CSM backpack idea seems likely. I would be very glad to see a generic Sorceror.
Generic CSM do have a remarkable lack of plastic characters. They have the old Terminator Lord/Sorceror, and the Aspiring Champion clampack (one of the very earliest 40k clampacks). All the other Chaos clampacks are god-specific. There is also the now-OOP Dark Vengeance Lord.
I find it very odd that no generic Sorceror or Lord has been released, and to a lesser extent no plastic Dark Apostle or Warpsmith. Yet they have an Aspiring Champion...

If anything, it definitely lends credence to the rumours of some new basic CSM stuff (a pleasant surprise since I had assumed CSM were going to be slowly eroded in favour of power-specific factions).

Which would be a crying shame after they teased us with what they were capable of, what with Dark Vengeance and the Raptors box both being really awesome sculpts. I have refused to collect any further standard Chaos whilst the rest of the range mismatches so jarringly.

I still prefer the old metal Raptor sculpts. They had a very distinctive look instead of being spiky assault squads, and they still looks cooler imo.

So no hinted part, but there is artwork and a very clear description of what is to come. It helps that the article is amusing although considering that they've given the canid a rank one shudders to think how high a cat would go in the Imperium!

For those interested in the artwork:
I'm wondering if this is a hint/teaser for a reworked Cadian kit...Canids would be an interesting addition to a squad.

Clearly, the Imperium is populated by dog people, therefore cats will only gain rank amongst the forces of heretics Kanluwen wrote: For those interested in the artwork: I'm wondering if this is a hint/teaser for a reworked Cadian kit...Canids would be an interesting addition to a squad.

The Cadian kit is about the same age as the Fire Warrior kit was before its revamp. I've been saying for awhile that it would make sense for the Cadian kit to get recut like the Fire Warriors did and to include some new weapon options/profiles as well.

True, although I'd rather get a re-vamped CSM kit before Cadians or Catachans, and Guard is my primary army.
