To be fair, UM players are kinda shafted. You can buy SW, DA, and BA specific squads in the price of normal ones, and there is a lot of boxes with their upgrade sprue thrown in for essentially free. Neither of UM upgrade sprues were ever put in combo box in the last decade, and UM have no squad of their own, just generics. Just look at the clownery that was holiday 'squad + vehicle' boxes - all of them except UM got free upgrade sprues. So, out of these 4 chapters, if you collect UM, you have to pay essentially the most for what is the closest look to vanilla, when there was no good reason for GW to not add that sprue in anyway to represent chapter relics or something even if you don't play UM.
And that's just before looking at actual rules - in 8th, it's kinda bearable (although UM have less and weaker options than the 3 deviant chapters), but in 7th, you had double shaft of everyone having their speshul snowflake stuff on top of UM rules, while UM itself got nothing to indicate their superior discipline and training being virtually SM -1 (last time they had anything like it was 5th edition and even then wolfwolves and BA were the 'best' marines, though at least back then UM could have at least pretend to compete with some builds...).

The base Marine kits come with UM transfers. That's why upgrade frames are in the kits for DA, SW, and BA.

Other than Ultramarines having a huge roster of characters and access to stuff that the BA, DA, and SW didn't?

So two new models coming tomorrow - one from 40K and the other AoS. They've not confirmed if they are store unique or if they will appear on the website too (really hope they do because some people can't get to the stores with 1 day notice....)
I'm guessing stormcast and marine although could be nighthaunt or something else (I mean its not like everything AoS has to be stormcast like everything 40K has to be marines - right

I thought those were the store birthday models for each store that have already been released? Ergo people already have those models from their own local store birthday date (or got a friend to get them and ship them around - there's at least one or two Facebook Groups doing it)

It helps that the article is amusing although considering that they've given the canid a rank one shudders to think how high a cat would go in the Imperium! In the real military, in the US at least, dogs are always one rank higher than their handler. Sign of respect and all. So it's in fact not something GW came up with. It's pretty cool

That they are. The not-yet-revealed new minis are new and have not yet been revealed.

Yeah, the spines on the back categorically do not match any of the claws shown in the sprue. Maybe it is for a Keeper of Secrets or a Herald?

If that sprue is from the new Slaanesh/Khorne boxed set, the kit might possibly have both Daemonettes and Fiends. The clipped portion could be the Daemonettes along with the teaser claw.

That's assuming they're on the same sprue...which isn't likely what this boxed set would be. From what's been hinted at it will be something akin to Forgebane or Tooth & Claw, a mixture of new stuff and old. As it stands, this looks to be the same type of kit as the Beasts of Nurgle. Those things have quite a few extra bits. The size is even right to be a kit similar to the BoN. I'm expecting to see Daemonettes, a new plastic Daemonette character of some type, one of these new Fiends of Slaanesh, a new Khorne plastic character, Bloodletters, and new Flesh Hounds...and amusingly enough, something like that assuming Flesh Hounds go to a kit for $40 would be $188USD leaving enough wiggle room for it to be one of the $120-$130 kits instead of the full $150-$160. Also, there's apparently a 360 view on GW's instagram and it does look really close to the rumor engine one.

Nah, the one in the 360 is different. There are only 3 spines leading up to the longest spine in the RE pic, whereas there are 4 spines preceding the longest spine in the 360 and sprue images.
I'm thinking it is going to be for a plastic Herald now.

Looks like a twin belt feed. Depending on the actual size, could be a storm bolter or a TL heavy bolter, or a combi-bolter.
Given the Chaos backpack we saw earlier and the fiend of Slaanesh and the rumours about a Khorne vs. Slaanesh boxed set on the horizon, it might well be a combi bolter from, or adjacent to, that set.

The Khorne vs Slaanesh set is confirmed. They gave us a video for it back with the Nova Open.
It's Daemons only. It's called "Realm of Chaos: Wrath and Glory".
We also know there's a 40k set called "Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress" coming, which was heavily hinted at being like Silver Tower which saw brand new models all around, and a new faction(Tzeentch Arcanites) previewed that way.
