Would an Imperial guardsmen who is on the verge of being a flayed one's next victim become enamoured [is that the word I'm looking for?]
with a Tau girl [don't know what the terminology is here] if she saved him from it?
Yes, I know the guardsmen would be shot if anyone found out he associated with an alien and if a commissar noticed it, he'd probably wish the flayed one HAD got to him first. But are Human/alien relationships ever mentioned in any books/ fiction.
I have the Ciaphus Cain book where the Guard has an uncomfortable alliance with the aliens but that's Ciaphus Cain so it could all be just a web of lies.
And here's the next one
Would a completely different Guardsmen; who had been captured by the dark eldar and treated as badly as the DE do treat their prisoners-would he defect out of desperation to survive on condition he brings them more victims?

The dark eldar? Definitely. The more stubborn/loyal the guardsman is the more likely the DE would torture him/her into betraying the imperium.
Tau? More complex. Imperium and Tau have fought together before, and sometimes parted peacefully-ish. A guardsman giving up loyalty to the emperor that quickly would be uncommon but not impossible. Big galaxy remember.
Personally, if you wanted this story-line to happen I would say that you should make the guards-warrior (doesn't have to be male) a conscript whose loyalty and devotion is thus lower than normal. Alternatively, make him from a world that has had positive encounters with the Tau previously.
Finally, to my knowledge Ciaphas Cain is as good a source as any other book with GW's stance on canon. Again, its a big galaxy with plenty of space for your own story.

There's room for hope to on a million world empire. Sure it cheesey plot. But meh, do what you wanna do.

Yes. It absolutely can happen. And does frequently IRL.

Dark Eldar can totally make him defect, like all they have to do is show him a wrack or something of the such and (I don't know about you) but I would be quick to defect. (although Wrack isn't the best option as I am like 40% sure they are voluntary when it comes to becoming wracks)

Back in the day GW was cool with inter-species relations. For example Ultramarine Varro Tigurius used to be half Eldar half human... so someone had to bone an alien.

Here's the plot summery [spoiler warning]
Corporal Croppo [google his name if you don't recognise it] has a reputation of being the BEST N.C.O in the region. Although his patrols are frequently ambushed, he always comes back alive and is awarded for his gallantry. It is soon discovered that he hasn't been fighting the Dark Eldar, he's been bringing them victims.

I don't believe impossibility is a thing in Dark Elder society. And as far as human xeno relationships I imagine they're rare, but can happen. I've even read several eldar stories where they refer to the fact that they do have human friends, and old lore had half human/eldar so i imagine it's possible for human/tau

Most Tau are gremlins in fishbowls.
That's kind of like falling in love with a sentient turtle - even if emotional love is possible nothing is going to line up.

Yeah what's Shepard thinking!? Falling in love with Tali/Liara/etc. Totally not possible or imaginable, especially is a space fantasy!

Falling in love with something that is not even human and that you have been indoctrinated from birth to loathe and despise seems kinda hard, isn't it? It is probably not impossible, given all the weird things that sometimes happen with love irl, but the guy would have to be really, really crazy. But yeah, in the end it is fantasy, so don't let logic and facts ruin a good story.

Possible - the thrown together against adversity can lead to more....alliance - freindship - more..........they may or may not be physically "compatable" but humans do seem find a way on their own world with non humans without going into often icky details. The Guardsmen would be better off defecting to the Tau in this case.
Interestingly Cain felt more disgusted by human defectors to the Tau (even pretty ones) than the actual Tau themselves. The Imperium will work with Xenos - mainly Eldar and Tau.
Re the Dark Eldar question - hell yeah - its quite likely and the DE would find it amusing -in fact in one of the novels they have a apparently sympathetic human female slave release some guardsmen to fight their way out into.........the arena proper. She is just playing a role.

The story I had planned for the first guardsmen is pretty much what I described in the first post.
The Tau girl shoots down the necron as it was the 'worst' of her enemies in that scenario. After taking it down, she dresses the guardsman's wounds as a friendly gesture and then leaves.
The guardsmen is thankful for the assistance but begins obsessing over her. The consistent dogma lectures he receives about how 'evil' the aliens are makes him desire her more as she is a forbidden fruit [whatever floats your boat].
After spending years, climbing the ladder, the guardsmen makes something of himself but is forced to flee and change his identity after his fetish is discovered.
If you must know, I write A LOT of fiction for my armies as I'm a writer. I wanted to do something different for one of my IG's but I didn't want to go into the whole Blood angels and Necrons BFF's from a few years ago

Thanks for the positive responses. I knew the ideas seemed a bit different and I just wanted opinions before I went any further. Like I said earlier, I didn't want to step into the Necrons and Blood angels BFF's from a few years ago territory.
The Dark elder story [part 1] is in the fiction section. It is called 'Desperation #1'
'Feeling blue' on the other hand. Needs some work

Wracks are Eldar. They have the eventual goal of becoming a haemoculus and achieving immortality.
Grotesques are non Eldar. They are mindless battledrones.
There are things in between, it's a VERY BIG city. Perhaps a human might become a grotesque with more higher brain function and less bulk to be used as a assistant in surgery rather than battle drone.
