Does Valeria know he keeps another Female Inquistor locked away for rainy days when she is not around?

So some stuff gleaned from the battle report:

  • [*]Greyfax is a level 2 witch Psyker who knows powers from Telepathy.
[*]Greyfax has a unique power (looks to be a Malediction) called "Aura of Oppression" that can apparently "neutralize" nearby units. I'm guessing it either messes with the opposing unit's stats, or keeps them from acting for a turn.
[*]It looks like Trazyn is probable getting some kind of update that lets him be taken on his own as an ally (though the Forces of the Imperium still don't trust him) and lets him release models from the Tesseract Labrynths. Deploying this way is refered to as coming in from "Tesseract Reserve" in the BatRep and lets a squad of Ogryns pop up in the Chaos back lines.
[*]Cawl's Canticles boost Admech units and Imperial vehicles. I'm guessing the limits of his boosting allies is through their vehicles then.
[*]Cawl's "War Hymn of Fortitude" gives all vehicles in 12" of him a 5++.
[*]Celestine's arrival auto-rallied the fleeing units of the Imperial side. Looks to be some sort of special rule or warlord trait.
[*]Cawl regained wound(s) on his own. IWND?
[*]Celestine can still come back after dying, but as she never died in the BatRep the way this rule works wasn't mentioned.

  • Empyric Storms mentioned:

  • [*]Psychic Stun: Roll a die for every psyker on the battlefield. On a 6 they lose a randomly selected power.
[*]Reality Speeds: Models gain 1" of movement in the movement phase. Psykers and Daemons gain 3" instead.
[*]Warp Surge: Range of psychic powers is doubled for the turn.
[*]Overwhelming Power: Randomly select a psyker on the battle field. Double that psyker's Strength, Toughness and Attacks Characteristics.
[*]Psychic Devastation: Everytime a psychic power successfully resolves and is not resisted by Deny the Witch resolve it's effects then resolve them again. You may target the same unit twice.
[*]The Denizens Hunger: Psykers suffer Perils of the Warp any time they make a psychic test that includes any double.
[*]Warp Regeneration: Every model on the battlefield heals a single wound lost earlier in the battle.
[*]Total Power: If a psyker makes a psychic test on any double, that power is automatically manifested and no attempts to Deny the Witch can be made to resist it. Perils of the Warp still occur on a double 6.

I'm more inclined to think that Trazyn's special stuff is a special part of the 4th Altar of War mission in the Campaign book, since that's what they were playing in the battle report.

Cawl only buffs imperial Vehicles and Ad Mech units. No sign of what Celestine's bubble does. Was never mentioned in the batrep.

It is extremely possible that he gets 0 update and the scenario has special rules allowing him to do these things.

I love the way he's leering at them, almost as if he's about to say "Can I... borrow... that from you for a moment?".

All we need are slightly better rules for Trazyn and we are set.

I mean , would it really have been that bad to let him possess Lychgaurd again?

I wonder if this could be an indication that we'll be getting some sort of Necron release in the near future. But then again there's definitely, certainly no Necrons on Cadia, so there's probably nothing to worry about. The pylons are just big natural structures and there are no strange aliens walking around Cadia. Nope. Not a single one. Move along.

Necrons do not need any new stuff at all. togeather with chaos demons they are "Alpha Predators" in 40K. The Tyranids and AM should get some attention :-(

Are the current guardsmen models the generic guardsmen uniform or is it only the Cadians that have that look? I wish the other regiments would get an update, you only need one box really for each, would love to see Vostroyan. Surely if the Cadian system falls, that's billions of less troops each year, the other regiments would have to pick up the slack in conscription.

It is the Cadian uniform, though it can represent anyone really. Cadians deployed elsewhere, regiments supplied by Cadia, uniforms that just look a lot like Cadians, etc.

There was a titan in the box. Trazyn is a titan now. Just as planned.

Anyway, I think its pretty clear the tessaract reinforcements are part of the scenario. I doubt its a new rule.
