The current LOS rules cause for scenarios where heroes hide in the back since they can be picked out anywhere. Which pretty much goes against any film or piece of literature involving fantasy heroes that was ever written.

It's especially frustrating to me as a Flesh-Eater Courts player because my heroes are so key to how the army plays, and yet it's trivially easy to snipe them out. So it feels that I get screwed because Matched Play kicked summoning in the balls (as did the FAQ with the Ring), so I have all these heroes who can restore my units but they can't be screened properly and when they're dead I have easily killable units with no way to compensate. Granted I suck with FEC, but it's frustrating when the heroes are the lynchpin of the force and die easily because I can't prevent shooting from targeting them through terrain/units.

Going back to the OP, if an opponent had a bloodthirster with a bulked out loincloth which prevented me from drawing LoS between its legs I would have no issue. Doubly so because I would avoid using LoS gained that way in the first place because it's ridiculous. Obviously this isn't much help in a tournament, but thankfully outside then a little abstraction goes a long way. But to answer the original question; if the opponent willing to treat their model as a stock model for the purposes of LoS? No = MFA

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Do you run Ghoul Patrol with your FEC, Wayniac? I have heard that it is the most competetive build for them :-)

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

WAYNIAC, try making your general (with master of the night) a unit champion from a large squad instead of a hero.
