Greetings, everyone!

Ill be direct. I detest the stock GW Daemon Prince model. It's bad.

I need to build 4 Tzeentch Daemon Prince's for an army, but I'm having a terribly difficult time finding a proper model for a 60mm base.

They're all with wings.

I've considered trying to Kitbash the AoS Flameheart Phoenixes-- which very well could work, but I don't know what to use as a body, or arms, etc.

Might anyone have any ideas of:

A.) Models to Kitbash.

B.) Non GW Models

C.) Alternative GW Models, with a reasonable amount of relation.

Thanks again, everyone. I hope this is the correct place for this question. Forgive me if it isnt.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

From GW, I think the Morghasts are perfect DPs of Tz.
I know you mentioned that you didn't like them as LoCs, but as DPs I can't imagine not liking them.
Plus they already come with wings and are on 60mm bases. 2 boxes are you done

or these:

I imagine that's pretty heavily green stuffed to get rid of the bones, yeah?

I'm... Not super comfortable with GS yet.

I do agree, Morghasts could work. They just don't fit in SUPER well with Magnus. They could do, though.

One staff top is from the pink horrors box.

you could combine the deamon prince kit with a eagle from the hobbit range

One of the staff tops is from the Pink Horror box
The other is from the CSM box. Like the plain Marine box.

Not many people know that the CSM box comes with 1 head, 1 shoulder pad and 1 icon for each god:

it also looks like there are added flames from the Tz chariot on those Morghasts as well

Ogroid Thaumaturge from Silver Tower; add Daemon prince wings or cockatrice wings...heck, just get a cheapo winged critter from Bones like the griffon ($5) and take his wings. It works. I have one myself. I'll post it, if you'd like. DP's wings aren't feathered, which is my 'eh...' attitude towards using them as Tzeentch.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Yeah Reaper also has some great feathered wings. The models I shared in my firs post have wings from a Reaper mini

This is a simple one I did, the head is from the Burning Chariot kit and the wings are a GW kit that is escaping my mind right now, something from the older fantasy range. When I think of it Ill
edit this.

That burning chariot DP makes me think of Dark Crystal. I loved the aesthetic of that film. Perhaps, in a way, how I got into 40k?

If you want GW models, these might be interesting to start from:

Not sure on the exact scale of all these, but they are generally 'big' and with daemon princes the rule over time seems to have been the bigger the better!

I feel like:

Could work REALLY well if I were able to put arms on it.

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.
