I'm having issues atm. Played a game against my buddy using krieg, on against 1250 point game on a 6ft table. He had so much artillery I had 2 warriors left out of my whole list by the time i got halfway across the table. Thats with 3 resurrection orbs on 2 lords and artillery overlord. How the hell do i combat that? He didn't move a single unit all game. He made me walk across the board. Here is what I had,

2 annihilation barges
1 spider
1 unit of scarabs
3 10 man warriors
1 unit of immortals
2 lords with some goodies including rez orbs
1 overlord. I got completely obliterated by the krieg heavy artillery. I killed 2 of his models with scarabs, 15 model points of damage. What can I do against guns that can shoot 6 feet??? I couldn't even make it to the firing range.

You're playing a slow list. The stereotype that Necrons are a slow army is stupid. They can be super fast.

What you need is Wraiths, Ghost Arks, Tomb Blades, Praetorians, etc. Even Destroyers.

I must say, I really like the idea that the DKK are managing to hold their own against a top-tier army like Necrons, but anyway:

The big strength of artillery is their massive number of T7 wounds and great range. However, they won't get those bonuses in close combat, so wraiths and the like would be a good counter, with large squad sizes.

Also, none of that artillery works against flyers, and it's dangerous to use against units too close, so Death Croissants with disembarking units that land really close to the lines might well work. You're likely to survive a turn of Lasfire and then be in a position to charge the squishy gun crews. Given that you already have the warrior units for this, maybe some Doom Pastries are the next purchase?

I was thinking a army of scarabs and maybe get some wraith, and use my nights cathedral. I'm still new to the game. So I am learning. But anyway, was thinking a brick of warriors, brick of immortals 2 barges, 2 spyders, 2 units of scarabs plus more for producing, then a unit of wraith a with a overlord and lord

My biggest issue tho is that insane range. Longest range weapon I found for necrons is 48inch with doomsday, which he will for sure focus fire.

And dont get me wrong, as soon as I can get in range I can rip him to shreds. It's getting that far first

Just my two cents but there's a one-shot weapon you can take for the Lords which is called Tachyon Crossbow, something like that. I don't have the codex under my nose but it has a range of like 128" and S10 PA1, maybe you could try to kill something with it ?

25 points for one S10 AP1 shot. Not worth it-can't even double out artillery, so you won't even kill a single artillery piece.

So I haven't fought against DKK, but I do vs IG on the regular, with the same static gun line.

Firstly, I would drop the anni barges, they are a huge points sink and never perform well (at least for me anyway)

Asides from the obvious of building a fast army as stated above (this works very well btw, FastCrons are FunCrons) look to ForgeWorld if your budget permits.

I have a night shroud bomber and pylons on order. Massive range on the bomber, and the pylons can deep strike in a deathstar (plenty of info on this in the forums) and perform an absolutely brutal alpha strike, which could decimate his backline.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Veil and/or Obyron yet.

Turn one, plonk a bunch of guys down on his side of the table. No walking required.

As both a dkok and necron player i would say you need more speed as has already been said

wraiths, arks and destroyers. U need to get close much faster than you did with your current list. "Marching into a barrage of fire is a no no against krieg

drop barges, reduce lords to one, no need with that many lords since dkok wont have that tough characters to go up against. drop spider and scarabs also.

Personally, I'd run as many flyers as possible.
DKoK has no artillery capable of removing them from what I remember.

Since the new FAQ, scythes can carry 15 models including jump.
So I'd be packing them out with praetorians and dropping them in the thick of it.

With DKOK artillery no one is going to risk firing that close to their own models.

Long story short, flyers, deepstrike, anything to get there as quickly as you can.
Against gunlines a walking cron list will struggle.
Against this?
You did well to walk half way across the board.

Keep in mind though that some missions change deployments, so long edge deployment will help loads.

Objective missions will be a nightmare though.
He will simply shell you off of any objective you hold the entire game.
