For a more "human-scaled" Mortarion, with wings, scythe, robe and all, Hi-Tech already released their Mortimer quite a while ago.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.

That'd be the leakiest leak in quite a while, wouldn't it? What'd come close in recent memory? So I'm not buying it so far. I agree that it might be a conversion or self-sculpt, it DOES look a lot like a Sigmarine Optimus Prime.

I'll take anything mortal Nurgle, though, there'a no bad plastic set by GW so far in that line and 4.5 out of 5 great ones (the maggoths are nice, but not nearly as well done as their riders and the rest). Marauders, plague zombies, Plague Marines, Cult Termis, Pestigors, characters, release it (stop with the price increases), I'll buy and convert and never paint it!

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Well not saying its the real deal but if it was a convertion some would find the original by now and show better photos ..And one of the pics looks to be a 3D design of the modell (pic 4)

I think its the real deal ..and if not then its a 3rd party russian stand in model (but then again it would not be called Mortarion )

Doesn't look like a conversion to me.... and his scythe would be similar to the HH version because it's "his" weapon

Gonna guess not GW because it's not a normal leak format, plus that plasticard sheet used as an amateur backdrop. GW has light boxes.

If this truly is Mortarion does that mean this weeks rumour from GW is Caldor Draigo? Didn't he carve his name onto Mortys heart?

It's the best argument i've seen for a while.

You'd be surprised that GW employs (as in this case) russian artists.
Moreover - a fair amount of leaks are indeed came from artists as they recive a complete model references.
Especialy a freelance ones (and that is not just russia - it's all over the globe)
If GW would employ a freelance Game-designers we would get some rule details.

The only difference in this case is that artist posted information stright away passing conventional rumor-aggrgators as Atia/Natfka etc.
Although still a dumb move if you ask me.

No, they won't. They will simply sue the living cr*ap out of the person responsible for it. There's a reason companies sign CDA's with their affiliates.

Ok I see, thank you for explaining the way of the leaked photos, this makes sense.

With Photoshop one never knows. And if it's a hoax/marketing the original might not be posted on purpose.

I can live with or without Mortarion, as long as we get his buddies, which seem to be coming for sure. But not soon enough. Nurgle now! Not Nurgle November.

GW might stop employing the guy if he did leak it, but I doubt they'd waste their time trying to sue someone in Russia...

Looks like a piece of conversion work, those look a lot like Plague Drone wings. Overall, looking at Magnus, GW would do a much better job at creating such an iconic character.

It looks great- to me it looks like his "wings" are formed from his tattered robe/cloak billowing out behind him. I can't imagine he is due any time soon 3-4 months at best? Hastings mentioned a plague army coming, I'd guess Mortarion is on his way, wether this is the model??

What is a CDA? I herd of Non Disclosure Agreements but not a CDA. Is that different from what it is in Canada?

It could have also been something totally different as well. Just look at all the short forms people use and they make no sense to me. A lot of times people are saying ML and I think Missile Launchers and it makes no sense in the conversation. So no, Google wouldn't help so that is why I asked. We have way to many short forms meaning different things now.

*edit*

GW. Funny Google doesn't show me that as "great weapon". So again. Google wouldn't have helped me if the person ment something else. That is why I don't rely on Google when it comes to short forms in names when they can have many meanings.

But thank you again for trying to make me look foolish again.

If you can't infer from context that "CDA" and "NDA" must be similar then you don't need my help.

But, of course, you did infer from context they were similar, hence the phrasing of your question, you just CBA to go on google and find out for yourself.

If he is in fact in Russia, at the very most, he will lose the job and not get any more work from them.

They certainly look nothing like plague drone wings.
Looking at the very small pic of the separate legs and puzzle them together with the other very small pics, I think this model probably look really cool and angel of death like, as is proper.
However, comparing it to magnus it looks like its much smaller than the gigantic(cyclopean) magnus -good! Lets hope they keep him that size and dont scale it up like they did with magnus.

Scale him up? You remember how big the Epic version would have been 'in scale' right?

Can't Magnus change size at will? I imagine he wanted to be pretty big to go crush some puppies.

Eh, no. No matter how skilled you are at magnetising or trick painting, you cant make the model any size you want. Im pretty sure plastic dont shrink in laundry either.

@Johnnyhell: I was not refering to the epic model, I was refering to the much smaller Magnus GW had made for some open day or something(?) but then decided to scale up in their fancy computer before releasing to the public.

Magnus, the character the model is made after, can change size at will through magic. The model was made alongside the assault on the Space Wolves, and there's art of Magnus that large compared to other units. So they didn't "scale him up" really, that's just how big he is. Morti never really got huge after his transformation to a Deamon so it makes sense for him to be smaller than Magnus if it is real. I Imagine Magnus will be the largest Deamon Primarch due to him being able to make himself that large.
