It looks like a really bad photoshop - you can see the spaces inbetween the original model and the basing.

If we could get a translation of the caption, maybe we could get more context out of this.
I assumed AoS went to circles so that GW could consolidate base shapes (and not have to make square ones anymore)

This is fake. All of the top 5 Marines' feet are on completely identical bases, down to the shading on the rocks. The Eldar are all on completely identical bases as well (the three sharp rocks are a giveaway)

Warsaw facebook posted this, then took it down, then posted same thing with a different picture. It asks the question, why do they have a picture with 40k units on square bases?
