I'm not sure how many special characters each Legion typically gets, so feel free to say all of them

Voted Amit and Azkaellon.

Meros was pretty unremarkable, all things considered, and only was renowned for sacrificing himself for Sanguinus.

Kano was also unremarkable. He only came into focus awakening Sanguinus, which isn't worthy of a Special Character slot, IMO.

Raldoron was in a similar position to Marius Gage of the Ultramarines, as the First Captain. However, that alone isn't really enough to distinguish him for me, and he could be represented just as well with a Praetor statline.

Amit is unique. He is certainly more aggressive and special enough to warrant a unique profile.

Azkaellon is likewise in a unique position as head of the Sanguinary Guard. His gear and possible allowance for Sanguinary Guard to be taken more readily would distinguish him.

Most legions seem to get 2 special characters plus some flavoured units, not including thier primarch.
Generally, one is the first captain or the primarch's equerry and the other is someone else who is interesting and different.
For me, they would be Raldoron and Azkellon (voted for).
Depending upon the content of the next book, it would be Kano (Signus) or Amit (anywhere else) in close third.

I'm gonna buck the trend here and suggest they should get Sanguinius.

Amit and Azkaellon again for the same reasons as above.

If I want to make an equivalent for any of the other characters I'll just pimp out a Praetor or appropriate Consul.

It would seem that each Legion tends to get a special character that could represent the Traitor side and the Loyalist side of the Legion, even if the Legion was definitely a Traitor or Loyalist Legion.

I'd say the Blood Angels will get the blood thirsty, close combat, kill all the bad guys special character, and the other, more reluctant "hero" character- kinda like the two sides of the Primarch?

I just hope we don't have to wait a year for Book VIII.

Maybe I was being a little too literal? Each Legion seems to get a special character that emphasizes the "good side" and the "bad side" of the Legion.

Except the Imperial Fists, the Ultramarines and the Salamanders.
