Yeah, thanks, we already got back on topic.

And my avatar is a fictional character, so whatever you think your ritual is going to do will probably be directing its efforts to someone who does not exist.

That doesn't appear to be the case.

How about something that could be interchangeable within imperial and chaos armies? Like generic weapon sprues, upgrade bits etc (I know they used to do those- I liked them. They were useful!)

Ten-man Devastator Squad

Additional content apart from usual stuff (bolters, grenades, ammo belts, etc.):
- Four heavy weapons of each type
- Option for heavy weapons with suspensors (Relentless special rule)
- All close combat weapons & kombi-weapons for the Sgt.

Possible poses:
- One bolter guy operating an Auspex scanner. I know, normally a Sgt. would select this kind of equipment but in my opinion he should bark orders instead (see also the movie "Aliens" as reference). Just call this guy a corporal and it should be fine. He would also lead the other 5 guys, if you use the rule for combat squads at the start of the game.

- Sgt. with cigar option.
- Sgt. with throat cut gesture. If the Undertaker can get away with it surely a SM could too.
- Sgt. holding a melta bomb.

- Aiming bolter/heavy weapon.
- Reloading bolter/heavy weapon.
- Guard stance for bolter guys.
- Throwing frag/krak grenade for bolter guy.
- Holding a combat knife for bolter guy.
- Bayonet options for bolters.

- Trophy xenos heads for base decoration showing "Hatred (Xenos)" option.
- Battlefield debris for base decoration.

Of the other tanks, how many can they cram into one box? The Whirlwind might actually be better in with the AA tanks. I think the pred/vindi would make a good box. They are both MBTs, or as close to it as marines get. The pred always struck me as odd. You stick a turret on top of what is otherwise a naked rhino chassis, and suddenly the AV values go up? The Vindi actually looks like it could take a hit or two.

Agreed. After the success of this little project, I basically want the vindicator's armour on every rhino-based vehicle.

If you know where to look, we have this already.

The Deathwatch LR should have all the parts to make a LR, LRR, and LRC. Plus a DW accessory sprue. It’s $80, rather then $74.25 USD, but for a few bucks more, you get all the (non-FW) options.

Some new Berzerkers so I don't have to keep buying Forge World conversions for regular CSM. The conversion ARE great though, GW would prolly make them too "clean" while the FW ones look battle hardened.

Isn't vindicator armor basically the same as the FW extra armor, but with a fixed door panel where the FW one has an open slot?

From a business perspective GW makes more money if they keep the separate codex's allowing them to charge $40 to $50 a book in comparison to making a combination book which they might charge...$100-125 a book. Not a lot of people would want to drop that much money for a book when they only need 1/6th of the book to play their army and would be more willing to drop $50 for a book with just the rules that they need.

Another way to do it is to have the "core" book and then the variations, BA, SW, DA and such as codex supplements like they did back in the day.

No, you're missing the point.

The point isn't to put all these chapters into 1 big book.

The idea is to stop pretending the differences between the LSM chapters are worth having different rules for and only have rules for LSM and not invididual chapters/legions.

Erm.

Can you please read what I replied to there, and then answer the following question?

Why me, and no one else?

I REALLY want an answer to that question.

Not quite. I thought so at first, which is why I bought a Vindicator for that project. Where the forgeworld parts are different segments to augment the sides of the hull, the vindicator's side parts are each one big plate of plastic that mostly covers the rhino's side, another big plate that goes on top of the roof (fitted in the open rhino hatch) and a front top-corner thing to cover the massive lip it leaves over the front hull.

The hunter and stalker work in the same way, if your only experience with rhino derivatives is predators and razorbacks, there's a surprising amount of additional plastic.

the reason there are so many brands of space marines is because they sell. condenseing them all into one codex isn't magicly going to give another army more page time

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I think the alpharius dude might have meant all of y'all

I'd like to see a condensed space marine book too- does anyone remember back when you could make your own chapter? I liked that kind of thing.

On topic, I love the vindicator armour idea I miss back when they used to sell spare parts and sprues and such.

one thing that might be nifty to see is alternate uses of the land raider hull, the same way the predator and vindicator use the rhino hull. Imagine a MBT built around a land raider

true the Ultra is kinda what I'm thinking (I was thinking something with a big turret and a canon of some sort mind you) are the rules for the LR ultra published anywhere these days BTW?

I think it's warzone dameos or something, though as far as I know it doesn't have any special rules other than the "take a penetrating hit if you roll four ones" thing.

I am not sure. I think the Ares would be a good option as well.
