Hey guys,

I'm making a 30K Blood Angels army and want my Rhinos to have pintle mounted assault cannons and my Venator to have assault cannon sponsons.

Looking for suggesting on how to do this with GW/FW parts? Puppets of War (https://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=472) have a gatling cannon that could be mounted as either but I'm going to be playing at Warhammer World and you can't use third party models for weapons.

Cheers!

Pintle -
Landspeeder or Attack Bike heavy bolters are designed to be mounted on a rail. So they already lend themselves to a pintle. modify the barrels with some assault cannons.

Sponsons -
Well, Heavy bolter sponsons are already a thing. Find some assault cannon barrels and modify.

Sorm Raven, Storm Hawk, Storm Talon, Corvus Blackstar, Baal Predator, Terminators of various kinds are all sources of assault cannon barrels or full assault cannons you can chop the barrels off.

eg. Corvus Blackstar:

The ravenwing accessory sprue has some smaller then average AsCs.

The mount is supposed to go under the nose of a LS, but can be inverted and put on top of a tank. You can also put a searchlight/targeter thing on the other side if you just need to mount one.

Thanks for this,

Do you think this would work on a Deimos Rhino? https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/MKIC-Deimos-Pattern-Rhino

Nice one, thanks for the link as well. I think I'll got the Dark Angels accessory pack someone else mentioned for the pintle mounted ones, but go for a converted heavy bolter for the sponsons using the Corvus Blackstar.

Depends? I’ve not used the FW Deimos kit. If you want to keep the classic 2xBolter mount, where would you stick the pintle? If you get rid of one of them, plenty of space.

non.

I would get rid of one of them and attach it to the other bolter leaving room to add the assault cannon. Hopefully it wouldn't look too wonkey?
