Ok so I bought LegoCity on Switch and Im running into something a bit weird. Im getting headaches from it.....or rather more eye strain that leads to headaches? I thought maybe its because I was playing split screen with my kids but the other night I played it alone and after about 20minutes my eyes were getting sore and I could feel it in my head again. Im pretty sure its just this game because as stated before Ive played BotW for hours with no issues.

Anyone else experience something like this? Shoot the other day it screwed my eyes so badly that I didnt want to even play a game for a few days.

I was messing around on zelda and noticed something.... the bosses are less scary then the mobs.

But hell the mobs are less scary then running out of stamina in a small puddle or on a hill above small water.

I mostly wear a full set of climbing gear so I almost never worry about running out of stamina. But I do agree about the bosses, they are a bit on the easy side. Hell taking on a Lynel is way harder

Great to hear that a new Fire Emblem came is coming out on the machine, that's definitely an auto-buy for me for train journeys!

Fire Emblem is great! I first played it on my Wii. Now if only Id known that game would of become such a sought after game I wouldnt of traded it in all those years ago.

Im getting really hyped for Mariokart8 to be popping out here in 2 days! Im looking forward to gold star everything again but also them battle arenas yo!

Well there was a goof up with my shipping and I wont get Mariokart till Wednesday. Totally sucks but oh well I can wait I guess

I'm caving. While I haven't managed to get much time with Persona 5, I'm going to celebrate finishing my last full semester of grad school by picking up a Switch and BotW at the end of this week.

Although the biggest problem here is finding the machine on sale (at least the one with the grey controllers) which seems to have been perpetually out of stock for the past week.

Any UK purchasers been able to pick up Zelda for a reasonable (non GAME £59.99) price?

Played some Mario Kart 8 with my daughter tonight - it is a lot of fun!

Well my copy of Mariokart8 came yesterday! But due to freezing cold temps yesterday I let it sit and warm up a bit before plugging er in. And of course was instantly swarmed by the family to play with me. So we all played 4 player for about an hour. Battles are super fun( waaay better then what the WiiU version came with) and we also did some regular racing. I really like all the driving assists they put in the game because my daughter SUCKS at racing games but it allowed her to feel like she could play with us though it starts off with everything turned on which was annoying. Like these because we all just used the joycons sideways which does the job but as the races went on my hands were not liking this tiny controller at all, my wife didnt either, the kids loved it because I started to not crush everyone lol.

After everyone left I did a couple races alone and loved it. Man this game has the lipstick on it in spades! I can notice an improvement over the WiiU however it is very slight. Controls are super tight and everything is as one would expect from a Mariokart game. Later today Ill jump back into it and get more familiar with this one, see what else they changed or added

Looks like whatever stock of Switches that were released along Mario Kart have sold out, which puts me back into lurk mode. Maybe console stocks will imrpove in a couple of months.

Well I know they doubled production a month ago and have even been shipping over seas using airmail instead pf a shipping vessel because its a lot faster by air than by sea. I have read that from its launch date of april 28th to. The beginning of may Mariokart sold over a million copies! Thats hilarious and awesome.

This game is fantastic, Id argue it might be the best game ever made. Yup, Im calling it. Everyone, and I mean everyone plays Mariokart. So far Ive been getting my racing shape back by getting 3 stars on all the circuits from 50cc to 100cc. Ill start 150cc later today Im sure. Cant put this puppy down!

Thanks for the info. Seems like there's one post that wants to sell a bundle, but people want everything but the Switch. Maybe a chance!

Of course, this is after I made a miniatures purchase based on the idea that I wouldn't be buying a Switch until June or later... T_T

Mario Kart 8 DX is probably the best game in the series. I felt this way about the original Wii U release, but the lack of battle mode made it hard for me to give it the badge.

We played it quite a bit on the original release and when I picked up the new version my wife decided we should run a cup to break it in. 4 hours later we realized that one of us needed to get some sleep before morning.

I hadn't really kept up on the DLC but the new courses are great and 200 cc is hilariously awesome. 200 cc Baby Park is the most chaotic thing I've ever seen and in general the extra speed really takes a lot to compensate for and makes all the old courses feel new again.

The addition of retro cups has been one of the biggest boons to the series since MK DS and this one probably has the best selection overall. 8 is just a superb entry in a superb series and the DX version combined with the portability of the Switch itself is just a perfect storm of wish fulfillment as far as I'm concerned.

The game is a joy to play, its controls are rock solid and the courses are just awesome! Its difficulty ranges from fall asleep easy to rip your hair out hard. And if thats still to easy just go online and see how bad you really are.

Ive lost count of jow many times Ive been on race number 4, winning 1st on all the races, being on the last lap with the finish in sight, only to be sniped from a ninja from nowhere. Or the one that makes me want to punch a small puppy, Lightning bolt, followed by a red shell, followed by either a blue shell or green shell and then 3 or 5 karts zipping past me.

That is the single only thing in Mariokart 8 that makes me say there is no way Id give it a 10 out of 10. Cheap losses in harder races. Great game though otherwise, fantastic even! Easily a must have for a Switch.

Well, I bit the bullet. $400 shipped for a "slightly used" Switch, two comfort controllers (one that charges) and BotW. Fingers crossed I didn't get scammed.

Really the two main concerns would be if the screen was scratched and those two third party controllers. Third party controllers make me nervous.

Im with you there! Ive never been a fan of 2nd party controllers. Shoot I remember back in the day the 2nd party memory cards were just junk! Once I had one that simply forgot I had a 70 hour run on Final fantasy 7 then about 30 hours in it did it again so I tossed it

I don't believe they're third party controllers, but the Joy-Con Comfort Grip and the Charging Grip that Nintendo sells.

Ahhh then you should be fine. The comfort grip is what I use 90% of the time and love it. Cant say anything about the charge grip other than you have to charge it separately.

I have the charge grip because I want to be able to charge the Joy Cons without having to attach them to the system but I use the Pro-controller the vast majority of the time. The battery life on it is crazy.

I believe it, the pro controller for the WiiU was like that. It lasted so long we literally lost the charge cable and had to buy a new cable. It was like 60 or 80 hours a charge. Frigging nuts, and my ps4 controller lasts like 8

Yeah it is something ridiculous like 10x the battery life of the Xbox One/PS4 controllers.

Well, the package arrived, and holy crap, it's awesome. I got more than the seller listed:

-Switch, with no scratches on the screen
-2 sets of joycons, with red and blue rubber grips
-BotW
-Carry case
-two comfort grip controllers, one that charge

Just gotta wait to get out of work and grab a micro sd card to play some BotW tonight!

Mariokart has always struggled with its AI as the races/cups progressed, right back to the old SNES edition!
Pity they couldnt have come up with a better solution than the old blue shell up the bum when in first on the last lap :(
