Yo guys as the title says, i just bought the guilliman gathering storm box and want to know wether you guys think i would be fine playign against someone using the cypher model as a company master (i just absolutely love the model but play dark angels)
so i thought if i ran him under company master rules i could use the model with my dark angels

Don't see why not. It's a Space Marine with Dark Angels iconography. Not as if you're claiming it's a Dreadnaught.

it was just that i know that Cypher is not allowed to be ran with dark angels what so ever since he is fallen. So i wanted to see if other players didnt really have a problem if i ran him as a company master (and played those rules) so in all essence but appearance its not cypher)

I've never seen anyone complain so long as you stick to WYSIWIG. In other words, so long as it's a dude in power armor with a plasma pistol and bolt pistol, you're fine.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

My only complaint would be that you are running loyalist Dark Angels rather than fallen, but then that has nothing to do with whether you use Cypher.

Well i really wanted the box for my guilliman to the lion conversion im planning to do, And i really wanted the awesome cypher model, But that comes with the issue of being a loyalist and him being fallen, Which is why i want to know what the general opinion on using the model as a company master would be

In casual play I really don't see anyone objecting - especially if you stick to WYSIWYG.

For a tournament, check with the Organizer. I suspect few would object, but if you have the email saying it's fine, it might save a headache later.

You could just say they are Fallen Dark Angels. They don't quite have an official color scheme yet. Although, it seems that GW is starting to settle on black, red and steel in their webstore.

Even so, you could just say they are attempting some infiltration mission attempting to pass themselves off as loyalist Dark Angels. Works great if you are playing against any IoM player as they are either in your way or have discovered your army's true renegade nature.

In any event, I can't see anyone having a real issue with it.

Great ideas here.

One other alternative could be to use the Cypher model as an objective token.

Why not just wait a couple months for the Lion box? Or get 30k one.

I think thats not a bad idea as it is really a nice model or just say they are fallen DA and run them with the normal rules

Facts are chains that bind perception and fetter truth. For a man can remake the world if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind.

I painted my angels in their pre heresy colours which is black, red and steel due to owning MK 3 power armor, so i could easily call them fallen angels actually, which means i can run cypher

Just go for it! its a very cool miniature! As long as you don't abuse it i dont see why your opponents could ever have a problem with it.

the only primarchs I;ve heard rumored are Mortarian, Fulgrim and Russ, Russ I can't comment on eaither way, but there are rumored pics of Morty making the rounds, and I am of the opinion it's telling that Fulgrim, Morty and Magnus where the only primarchs mentioned specificly by name, even though GS3 did describe Khrone reacting to Gulliman's return.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
