When running multiple Inquisitors for extra WTs, I'm wondering which trait tables people prefer to roll on, and when to switch. Does anyone have a framework like "roll on Strategic until you get trait X, then switch to Tactical hoping to also get trait Y" or something along those lines? Or is it all Strategic, all the time?

You only get one warlord.

The formation lets the Inquisitors generate traits even if not the warlord.

I have no format, but I'd sure like one. Curious to see other posters.

Always try and do Strategic. Infiltrate is super good, and after that you can tailor for taste.

I agree. Two rolls on this table can completely change the game.

Strategic does seem obvious. The Infiltrate one and the Night Fighting + Night Vision one seem like potential game changers. Of the others, there isn't one you'd be bummed to have, and they're not really situational like some of the others.

By the third roll, I might be tempted to switch to Tactical in a Maelstrom game to avoid duplicating traits. Those are likewise useful, though not as strong as Strategic. Only the one where your Inquisitor has to go claim objectives forces your hand; the others are mostly minor advantage options.

Pretty sure the Strategic Table has the reserves manipulation as well.

It does, and while that's less useful with Coteaz in the mix, it's still powerful. The more I look at it, the more there's nothing wrong with that table. Everything is solid and useful. The Move Through Cover in ruins only is dependent on your board and terrain, but everything else you can use nearly every game.

Im partial towards that orbital bombardment, but i suppose strategic makes sense too... :p

Its what... Str 10 AP2 large blast I think?

Also if you want reserves manipulation this is also on the Inq. table.

Reader of the Tarot:
Whilst the Warlord is alive, you can roll two dice and choose the result you want when rolling for Reserves, Outflank, mysterious terrain or mysterious objectives.

Which if you are trying to get skyfire or something particular on a obj it helps with that also. A +1 on a d6 is still only 66%, pretty sure 2d6 is 75%? My math could be wrong but this should be superior to a +1 bonus.

The Inquisitor tables are actually pretty solid. Xenos can also give his unit PE for Xenos, they can also just get Hatred.

I'd probably make my first couple of rolls on the Strategic table and then shift to Tactical in a Maelstrom game or Inquisition in a Kill Points mission. I'm sure it's stated somewhere whether you generate missions before traits or not. I think I'll probably run 3 Inquisitors in my Castellans formation, so that might be the script to run.

You have to take the Inquisitorial Representative formation in order to get the traits on non-warlords. They won't work on Castellans.

Right, I should have said WITH my Castellans. It's tight, but I can squeeze in two or three at 2000 points. Coteaz is in the formation to give the Scions a chance to return to the battle, the others are Representatives running around separately trying not to give up their kill points.
