Subject: daemon angron and friends runs the gauntlet
|
 |
Crazed Spirit of the Defiler
Eye of Terror
|
ngron is sent forth by the gods to cause as much havoc and destruction in the name of Khorne as possible across multiple worlds, at his back are the legions of Khorne. The combined forces of the first war of Armageddon, Dominion of fire, and Horus heresy era world eaters and hangers on are at his command (essentially each of the Khornate hosts he's lead.)
So over eight hundred thousand berzerker marines, who knows how many traitor guardsmen, khornate xenos, daemons, and cultists. Such champions of Khorne like An'ggrath, Skarbrand, Kharne, Skulltaker, Urakka the warfiend, and Karanak are also with him.
Each time he arrives, he and the hordes of Khorne emerge from a warp rift with a large number of space hulks and space ships, while a warp storm immediately makes nuking them from orbit and other tactics that don't involve fighting them on the ground impossible and allows his daemons to remain on the material plane indefinitely.
The effects of Chaos corruption are also in full force (though resistible in the same way the IG doesn't go mad the moment they see them), and no warning is given to either the khornates or their victims. Additional daemonic reinforcements can be summoned, but only at rates that have been canonically displayed.
Victory for the Khornates comes with slaughtering every enemy on the world/universe. Victory for the defenders comes with banishing Angron and the other big Khornate champions back from whence they came.
Round 1: Modern Earth
Round 2: Halo Earth during Truth and Regret's attacks on it.
Round 3: Crysis 3 era Crysis Earth
Round 4: Mass effect Earth during the battle between HAMMER and the Reapers.
Round 5: Char following heart of the Swarm.
Round 6: Coruscant during the clone wars battle of the same name.
Rounds 6a: Coruscant during the galactic civil war
Round 7: Space Pirate Homeworld during MP3 Corruption.
Round 8: Maccrage during Hive Fleet behemoth's assault.
Rounds 8a: Gears of war earth
Round *b: The thirteenth black crusade
Round 9: The horus heresy

I dont know much about any of these universes apart from Star Wars. Angron alone would have wrecked the Star Wars universe, and in modern Earth he'd be unstoppable as no-one is going to listen to the nerds who play tableto games telling them they need to wear shiny metal suits and use magic swords to beat him.

The Halo one is a hit or miss because if they just fired a Halo, Angron would die... permanently.

Not necessarily: the op specified daemon angron - who is no longer precisely an organic creature, and physics' ability to apply to himis questionable at best.

If every sentient being is dead, Chaos dies and with it goes Angron.

I don't know about that, the Star Wars universe is capable of some pretty stupid gak. *cough* Luke summoning a black hole *cough*
Angron likely wins in almost every scenario. Only two stand a chance of stopping him.
Vs Zerg: Angron could easily purge Char of all life, but if the Zerg can leave the Char system, they use their superior FTL and ability to quickly colonise any celestial body to grind out Angron in a war of attrition.
Vs War in Heaven: The Necrons have enough anti-warp tech that they could seriously hamper the Khornate forces. Also, I could see a C'tan being capable of just poofing Angron and co. out of existence.

Yes, SW is crazy, but star wars is also the realm where their elite troops are humanoid clones and have piss-poor accuracy. A jedi's nimbleness would give them an advantage compared to say, Space Marines, but Angron is war and death incarnate and transcends the mortal plane. If rules carry across, The Force is like psychic powers which he'd be protected by his patron god. Star Wars is crazy but summoning black holes is child's play compared to the stuff that goes on in 40k. Where a dimension that is literal Hell appears in real-space as giant black holes that directly place you into a Daemon's pleasure chamber.

I thought the Force was about manipulating some microscopic organism, not a psychic power.

Do you speak this from experience?

Key word being manipulate, which goes against the fair fight rules of Khorne and would be surpressed.

They aren't psychic so Khorne can't influence them. Am I missing something?

I agree that Midichlorian manipulation wouldn't fall under Khorne's definition of psychic powers.
That said, I forgot the Force Awakens made all the expanded universe material non-canon. Without that, I doubt even Palpatine/Vader could manage to defeat a single World Eater, let alone Angron.
