It's always sunny in Philadelphia is a critically acclaimed comedy series that aires on FX. The show follows a group of friends who own a bar called Paddy's pub, as they do various schemes for various reasons but ultimately fail in the end since their own desires and lack of morals prevent them from succeeding. It's pretty dang funny I highly recommend it to those who hasn't seen it.

While the show dosen't have anything to do with Warhammer 40,000 per say, but I think it would be funny if someone based a army on The gang of Paddy's pub, But which army would most fit with them?

One possibility is as a Dysfunctional Imperial Guard regiment
(The characters roles...)
Frank would be the commander
Dennis would be the sociopathic Commissar
Mac would be some heavy weapons trooper or a priest
Charlie would be a Techpriest
Dee would be a Lieutenant of the ordinary grunts

Another possible choice would be a Chaos warband (which might actually be more fitting) that relies heavly on cultists
(The roles of the characters....)
Frank would be a Undivided Chaos lord
Dennis would be a Slaanesh worshipping Sorcerer
Mac would be a Aspiring Champion that worshipped Khorne
Charlie would either be a dark Techpriest or a Warpsmith
I don't know what Dee would be, probably a Daemonette that posssed some cultist.
(For a bonus you could have Richety Cricket as a unfortunate Cultist)

Mac would secretly have urges to worship Slaanesh though.

Nah, let's all talk about plugging forum posts into a Markov Chain Generator and creating automated Dakka.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

Dee would be a Kroot because she's a giant bird.

Oh. They'd be Imperial Guard conscripts as any barely trained humans would be. Especially considering they're early M3 Terrans who are unaccustomed to the horrors of the 41st Millennium.

I'd much prefer e thread like this than yet another "who would win in a fight...(insert two different nerd-realms/idols here)" thread.

Those are your options, along with:
  • 40k getting AoSed?
  • *sigh* looks like *sigh* everyone's getting new toys *sigh* except Chaos *sigh*
  • 10 reasons why I haven't bought from GW in years because they suck so much and I feel it necessary to create at least one thread per month on a board for a hooby I have no interest in to continually remind you of that fact
  • Holy gak I would drop a feth tonne of money if GW actually released [plastic sisters/squats/some bizarre new etherial race that can't actually be represented by models]
  • [unsubstantiated rumor] followed by [complete speculation] followed by [INTENSE RAGE!!! ] at [own speculation]
  • TFGs, TFGs everywhere!
  • choose my army for me

This topic would be more interesting if we talked about what armies those characters played if they were into 40k. Making the crew an army is kind of pointless, since there are not that much Squad leader -level characters in the game anyway so it's hard to do any comparison.

I bet Charlie would play Chaos.

That's actually a pretty interesting topic, I think I might do a forum like that in the future. Also on a side note who do you think Mac would play?

mac would probably play some netlist wolfen army with attached library conclaive. He would also complain about eldar like all the time and talk about how his space marines are the strongest and the best and have a highly undercosted fandex with stats of 10 across the board for 10 points per space marine

Mac would play blood angels so he could paint their muscular torsos and nipples. Because that's what a real badass would do. Plus there's no chapter that wears dusters and knows loads of karate.
