Everyone has their own views of how a Warhammer 40,000 show/movie, But I think it would do well as an anthology kind of thing because you can do various stories with each different factions, that's why I love anthologies you can bring new ideas to each story.

I voted Anime.. because that way it could be dark still as it will have a smaller audience base, greater range on what can be done and less likely to be dumbed down for the masses

I can't think of anything worse for 40k than anime.

Well it depends what style of Anime they go for..

As Anime itself isn't really a genre.

But a Grim Dark 3D animated series, that is more of a cult following for 40k fanbase instead of general public.

This means they can focus on what ever they like, and add in various other races that inhabit the galaxy that you don't get to see

I wasn't sure what you meant by anthology, so I voted other.

I'd like to see a series of vignettes or short stories, each one exploring one of the many faceted aspects of life in the Imperium from the perspective of a new protagonist each time. I'd like to see them deal more often than not with civilian or non-military individuals and leave the big budget, sci-fi, space marine, super soldier type characters to our collective imagination, maintaining them as the rare, specialist, demi-godlike, super warriors that they are supposed to be. Where violence & action do take centre stage, I want it to be kept tight, sharp and minimalistic; almost claustrophobic if you will. Think less "Star Wars" and more "Aliens."

And on a more personal note, I'd like orks to be portrayed as huge, terrifying brutes that threaten promises of violence in a menacing alien tongue, rather than comical, loutish goons who shout broken Cockney slang.

Also:
"An" anthology
"An" adaptation
"An" anime

I'd like the focus to not be exclusively on the Imperium, or at least have the imperium interact with the xenos species on a fairly deep level. Not just a skirmish here and there
