I remember several of the precious line of GW paints sometimes had distinct odors. Tallarn Flesh, Badab Black, and one of the pruples (can't remember the name) all had distenct scents that I can still recall to this day.
Aside from paints, the smell of Testor's Plastic Cement always reminds me of assembling the models, for obvious reasons. I also have a fondness for Skittles, as I was eating Skittles by the bowl when I played the Dawn of War games and first started putting models together.
I also have certain songs and bands linked to my modeling memories. I would tend to play certain music when assembling and painting my miniatures. To the point that I can't hear "Princes of the Universe" by Queen without getting the urge to paint up some Lizardmen models.

The smell of a newly received and just unwrapped Forgeworld book. Even better when you can hear the cracking of the gold leaf as you separate the pages for the first time.

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me." - Twin Peaks
"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks |

The smell of polystyrene cement once it starts to melt the styrene. Never fails to take me back to being 12 and gluing together my space crusade expansion set.

My desire for Fires Of Cyraxus to release just increased by a factor of five.
