So I, along with many others probably, have noticed a trend in the books and lore. 9 wounds killed Saint Sabbat, the traitor legions and loyalists are the same number (9), Sanguinius was the closest brother to Horus and he was of the 9th legion, 9 killers to kill the reincarnated Saint Sabbat, Horus was in the Serpent's lodge for 9 days before emerging corrupted,and so on and so forth. Given that Tzeentch's sacred number is 9, I wonder if this has some bigger meaning or if it's just a nod from GW to the Architect's meddling nature. Any thoughts?

Both. Tzeentch is the weaver of fates, he can see the future and the past and destiny. Just assume that everything in the galaxy, baring a few things such as Necrons, Tyranids, what Grey Knights and the Emperor do, is part of his great scheme because it probably is. And given how the number crops up again and again its impossible he wasn't involved, especially given that the events in question are to do with Chaos or killing the Imperial Faith (Sabbat). If something is that explicit and coincidential, its not a coincidence, especially with Chaos and Tzeentch. Whether your reaction is "There he goes again, that rascal!" or a "OMG" moment, is up to you. But Tzeentch was involved, I would bet my left asscheek on it, and its not a coincidence.

I suspect the number of loyalist/traitor legions is sort of coincidence, as is the Sanguinius thing (seems like it's reaching a bit there). The Saint Sabbat stuff is probably a nod to Tzeentch, and the Horus Serpent Lodge thing may be too. One thing affecting the Horus thing is that while Horus was for Chaos Undivided (or its predecessor), Tzeentch's number is the largest number of the Chaos gods, so it has the other numbers integrated into it.

I feel the same way, it can't be a coincidence. Do you think that something big involving those will crop up during the Dark Imperium reboot-lore-delvelopment-thing? Because I myself am excited as feth for the Imperium to finally change the dates on their calendars.
