It's DONE. That's the first thing, and most important.
Paintwork wise, yes, you have lots to learn - neater edges is probably a good place to start.
Don't try and 'improve' this - let it go and move on to the next project. It's good enough to game. :-)

Man, feels good doesn't it? I'm a strong proponent of finishing an army - it really is the very best motivation for doing more of that in the future. Far too many people outpace their painting enthusiasm with plastic and it becomes an impossible chore so they never bother.
The key is to actually finish an army...it's excellent motivation.

Facts are chains that bind perception and fetter truth. For a man can remake the world if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind. |

Great job, dude! And a massive congratulations on getting your first army done. My advice is to now enjoy your painted army, whether that be through gaming with them or just admiring your hard work!

That is a great start. Like folks said above me, finishing a batch like you have done is the best way to keep yourself motivated. I wish my painting looked as good as yours when I finished my first army group.
Keep up the good work!

Congrats!! I love how bright the paint job is.
Sometimes its hard to tell from the lighting of the photo but if you haven't, moving on to future projects, when you are painting gold, start using washes to add some extra depth of colour (not only have the bright gold but also some darker shades for contrast). A great combo is using the retributior armor colour followed up with Reikland fleshshade wash. Then going back over and highlighting with some brighter golds (or even just retributor armor again).
Be proud of your accomplishment! your army looks great!! Keep up the awesome hobbying!!

Your painting is not good, but for a first army it's fantastic, I wish I had took some photos of my first army I used emulision, glitter, nail varnish and all kinds of crazy substances, you litterly could not tell weather they were chaos or vanilla marines.
Time to start the next army come join the dark side

For a first Army its amazing. Now that you have finished, get started on either adding to this army with more units, or this is where it gets fun, start a whole new army.
