The question is pretty simple: do the orders militant of the adepta sororitas have their own medics beside the orders hospitaller? I understand that there are the orders hospitaller, but it's ridiculous to think that a military force doesn't have their own medic squand always with them.

No, they outsource, like the Marine Corps. But the Marines have the decency to teach Corpsmen how to fight, I dont the SoB do that for the Sisters of the Hospitaller.

Given stats/lore from various sources (Dark Heresy, Sisters Codexes of one edition or another...) the Orders Hospitallier seem to manage their own combat training. They're not BS4 because they were thrown into the thick of things without preparation.

Medics are awesome for terrans. SoB should totally have a medic corp that they rent out to the Astartes. Get a little counter copying going on here.

Actually, they do seem to train their Sisters Hospitaler for combat, at least if the tabletop stats are any indication - they get WS3/BS4 like regular Sisters, and they have a bolt pistol and power armor. They're not fully loaded for combat, but they know what they're doing, and are armed and armored better than their Guard equivalents.

Space Marine Apothecaries are slightly better equipped (bolter, grenades, TL plasma talon in the case of a Ravenwing Apothecary), but otherwise...

I would presume anything that resembles a conventional medic for the SoBs would not be in the front lines. The Order Hospitalier functions pretty well as a field/combat medic, presumably to stabilize the patient until they can get her to actual help.

Astarte Apothecaries are more there to extract Geneseed rather than heal, Orks are just mad, and IG field medics are....comically underequipped considering what they face usually.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Sister hospitlers are medics.

They assist SoB and are one of the more widely praised groups whom are highly respected by guard, civilians, and such. (ok there about only compatent doc a regular person get..)

But still they are there medics, they also support other imperials, and if required can fight. There fully trained in combat like there militant orders, even if not a directly involved.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

Doesn't matter, FNP on a t3 model is pretty useless anyway.

As a Skitarii, I hear you brother. But that's only going to last for another month.
