@felmonkey indeed it is as phallic as intended! Hahaha, what a better way to show nurgle's rot than syphalis infested phallic objects. Hahaha thanks for the kind words though. I will post a couple pics of him finished when I get a chance to take some pics properly.

Hi,
thanks for those who have voted for me. I feel this is my weakest entry to date. I just don't have the patience to paint at the moment and keep rushing it my entries. I think I've got more votes than I really deserve, perhaps people may think I free-handed those skulls (they are embossed on the coat... heh..)

Its an old loota model from either rogue trader/2nd ed times. Another pocket money purchase for me way back when. When I stripped him I was considering removing his gun-less arm and adding something... perhaps more dakka... but I decided to keep him original. The arm has practically no detail on it so I tried to improvise a bit but still... as some one said... what exactly is he doing with that arm.

I've voted for those below, but there were many I though were top notch.

Zobo – awesome nurgle is often easy to make look gunky, but gunky whilst not obscuring detail is a work of art... incredibly well done!
Modock - you seem to improve monthly.... great palette and great execution... I'm so envious =)
Yorkright - very nice assassin. Very well painted getting good direction on all your highlights... this one grew on me over the course of a few minutes. I really like him.
Zerg – awesome clean tau paintjob.. bravo... very very nice. Love the camo.
Midget – i cant not vote for it. Very nice re-enactment. Unbelievably i only watched the film a couple of years ago despite constant recommendations to watch it. It brings a bit smile to my face looking at it.
Bottle – as sexy as ever. I almost decided not to give you a vote for a change (would be first time ever) but then i saw the script on the parchment..... you little tease
Paradigm - like that other terminator you did a while back. This model oozes atmosphere and is a step above your usual brilliant style.
Feltmonkey – Fantastic subtle paintjob. Another model that didn’t jump out at first but left me speechless at your brush control and blends when looking more closely.

Thank you, Moolet.
I gotta say I put quite an effort in these guys. A lot of work was done under magnifying glass. Some features are horribly small.

You can tell you have, they are really stunning. I've not tried a magnifying glass yet I may need to as my eyes are starting to give up on me. I'll give it a shot =)

Well done everyone!

2 votes must be my lowest yet but I look at those with 1-4 votes around me and it makes me feel better. If I'm as good as those I'm happy. I think my photos let me down this month - or maybe that's just excuses

I wouldn't have painted those bikes yet if it wasn't for the comp, so that's a win for me

But again, well done everyone! See you in Legendary!

Dark Angels/Deathwing - just getting started!

Wow, third place! I'm surprised and delighted. I think it's been a strange month, with quite a few entries getting less than they deserved. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, and congratulations to everyone who finished something this month. Midget and ZoBo were a very worthy top two, by the way. Stellar work by both of you.

Good work all round

It's super satisfying to watch the increasing standard of entries each month, as well as everyone's different take on the themes

Wow thanks Para, that's quite a compliment. I was really excited when this challenge topic came up and when I selected this idea I was hoping I could do it justice. Thanks to everyone who voted for my entry. I completely agree with Feltmonkey that I'm not the best painter here but I do have fun with my entries and I'm glad other people enjoy them too Its testament to the people here that we are still going after 2 years, its given me a great reason to try out my crazy ideas otherwise I'd just be slowly painting my several hundred Orcs/Orks Boys.........

Mootlet, as part of my research for this entry I was meant to watch the whole film but didn't get a chance to, only certain scene :( I think I will have to take it on holiday with me this month. I knew of it and certain scenes which have influence lots of other things but now Nev has said its one of his favourite films I shall definitely have to watch it.

See you next month
