Have we got any confirmation that primaris will take up more space than regular marines, due to being larger and bulkier? And therefore require special transports in the same way Terminators used to require land raiders?

I'm certain space marines, as we know them, are in their twilight.

we have, Primaris Marines CANNOT use space marine transports, they must use their own .

I just hope we get a Primaris Rhino equivilant. I don't wanna feel forced to use the full on TANK al the time. (that'd get pricy, points wise)

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

So, been reading Dark Imperium, and it descripes Repulsor tanks being dropped in which leads me to conclude they'll be able to deep strike. so whereas regular Marines have to choose between "deep strike or transport" Primaris Marines will likely be able to go "BOTH OF COURSE!"

As long as they are suitably expensive then it should be fine. If primaris become to most elite army then it could lead to some really cool battles, with a few brave soldiers holding back a horde of enemies, every death counting for something. Sort of like the old movie marines, but not to such an extreme extent.

Its gone too far.

who are you to tell a Primarch of Gulliman's statue what is heresy?

which BTW is the question anyone who wants to rebel is gonna have to answer.

Gulliman is a primarch whom walked the earth when the emperor did, whom ordered the Imperium after the Heresy, the man is pretty much unassaliable

I am one that was here for 20 years, serving the Emperor, while Gulliman was asleep.

This. I was not in love with primaris space marine but I was in doubt. Then came that HUGE dreadnaught that feels totally out of the game sizewise. Then came that repulsor that is too big, too gun, too grav. Did not make any sense. I liked the madness of the imperium this mixture of forbiden technology and medieval occultism. This repulsor killed that beautiful concept that I liked so much.

When the first pictures of giant marines leaked I was worried but this is much much worse to me, it is not just a problem of size or aestetic, it is a problem of concept.

why so?
otherb then hovering how is it differant from a predator, or land raider?

because if the Imperium can make fly a slender Land Raider hull, then the Eldars are just a dying race, not an incredibly technologically advanced dying race. Then the Necron monolith is just a big chunk of plascreet and the Dark Eldar Raider is just some kind of a gang bus.
I m just not in this concept.

My main takeaway from the Repulsor is that GW doesn't just plan on scaling up the existing SM vehicle to match the Primaris Marines. They're ramping up for a whole new range of models.

I suppose the old marines won't be able to use the new vehicles either?

What's the matter, can't reach the foot pedals?

This.

They're basically resetting everything. A new warp anomaly, a new crusade led by one above all, leading a new army of the best humanity can produce. It's not an exact copy- this time they're basing it off their own IP rather than transporting fantasy to space but the underlying themes are there. It'd be an absolute solid story, as a first edition. But to- and I believe they are- eliminate the marines their entire empire is built on? That risks an awful lot of alienation.

Highlighted for emphasis.

But that is exactly what GW is doing - this whole indomitus crusade shenanigans is basically "AOS Sigmar's big day out" but in 40k.
