So the plan is that Dante, the banner-bearer, and Corbulo set up a moving fire-base surrounded by all the tacticals, with the banner giving them +1 ld and a 4+ chance to shoot when dying, mixed heavy weapons, and Dante providing full-on reroll to hit for them all, as well as some obvious counter-attack potential. The vindi will set up shop somewhere backfield or close to them if enemy deep strikers are present.

Meanwhile, the shotgunners try to grab a good terrain piece in no man's land, and after the first movement phase, lemmy, sangy, the jump priest, and the DC all show up near a front for rerollable vicious (+1 str and +2 attacks) charges from the DC, and possible charges from the characters. The assassins can try to hit the same flank but don't care about the buff auras, so they can target squishier or isolated things, and have much more reliable charges in the case of the eversor and callidus.

Interesting tactic; I'm interested to see how assassins fare in this new edition as I have some of my own I'm tempted to run as allies. I imagine that the Vindicare will be a real warlord-slayer.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

Also interesting fact: the list in 7e is 2346 points, and lacks the ancient as he can't be taken outside a command squad.

On paper they all look extremely competitively costed. I'd imagine that a list really concentrating on them could be nightmarish.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll look around for some leaks and give them some thought.

Looks like an interesting list.

I'm really liking Vindicare in this edition.

No invuln saves + -3 to armor saves means the vindicare is a lean, mean, sergeant/champion/whatever killing machine.

With morale being so important, taking out morale boosting characters can be really effective.
