So these new Primaris marines are all carrying gene seed from Guilleman. I know that eventually these marines are coming to all the chapters and it bothers me knowing that the chapter sodomized by matt ward is now going to be a part of my future armies. I despise all things Ultramarine.

I haven't been able to read too much on the backstory but is this some issue I need to be angry about? Will other chapters get primaris upgrades without the taint of ultramarines?

Here's the transfer sheet from Dark Imperium, clearly demonstrating that they're not intended to be exclusively Ultra.

He hurt the lore... after long days of work, I have very few things I enjoy. Warhammer 40K is one of the things I enjoy.

That aside, so the process to make primaries marines can be done without using guileman blood?

Yes just say that your primaris are made using stock from, say for example, Ferrus Mannus. I'm pretty sure they just need the gene seeds from any chapter to make them.

Yes, Primaris can be made from the geneseed's of any loyalist legion. (I.e. Iron Hands, Dark Angels, Blood Angels, etc.)

You should do your research before you complain about nothing

Thanks to those that helped and answered my question.

To those that snubbed me and say "do your research, waaagh". I asked because I wasn't able to buy the new books yet and I'm not up to date on the lore. I'm an old timer and I come here to seek knowledge when I'm unable to find the answer on my own.

Help out or don't. Don't be condescending and rude. If we all knew everything, a forum wouldn't be necessary.

Dude, it's not even in a book, it's vox populi and been yammered to death both here and in a ton of social media. Plus you didn't go in a very "need help tone" to say the least.

What I've heard is that all the initial Primaris Marines are Guilliman's geneseed, since it was made in secret on Mars. However, later on after the Primaris Marines turned up, Chapters could start making them with their own geneseed. What this means is that a Chapter could end up with Primaris Marines both from Guilliman and their own Primarch's geneseed.

Pssht, you started wargaming after I did, don't make yourself out to be an old timer when there's guys active on here who've been gaming since before I was born.

I'm surprised, given your obvious interest, you've not had a good look at the pre orders on GW.com and seen the pictures (where I pulled the image from.) I'm pretty sure most people will, even if they're not intending to pre order.

Frankly you're already on a hiding to nothing because there's likely a very high level of fatigue from regulars (and I include msyelf in this) as the interest around 8th has generated an unusually bad signal to noise ratio in threads where people create whole topics to ask easily answered questions, questions that easily fit into existing topics or can be answered with a little time and care, such as looking at the now freely available information on GW's store, reading the articles on the community site or spending some time looking at the meticulously maintained OP in the 8th thread in News and Rumours here.

Not wishing to offend, but why did you immediately jump to anger without actually researching the topic? If your OP had been a little less rage filled, and rather as simply question gathering, then I think more people would have been receptive.

Immediately going to "I despise that ing ing " probably didn't create a good basis for an opening question.

Still, at least you can avoid the "taint" of Ultramarines with whatever you choose to create.

You're also a little chippy, aren't you, considering you've no idea who you're speaking to?

Still doesn't make you special, still makes you a noob compared to me.

Thanks, bye.

You play the Grey Knights. These new models would be so interesting to see with the Grey Knight paint scheme! Oh that would be glorious.

Hey, I just responded in kind, you opened with a lazy, aggressively toned, POS question in your OP, then proceeded to have a go at people for not falling over themselves to help you, then specifically seem to have called me "boy" (which isn't in the least bit loaded and has never been used at all in the history of time in an antagonistic way [/s])

If you want people to be nicer, trying being nicer.

Agreed Aetare. I like the models, just certain lore irks me. I'm so glad I can make these any chapter I want and still remain loyal to the lore.

Gotta admit I'd argue the opposite. Keep your hatred on imaginary things so that nothing real has to suffer from it.

I thought Ultramarines where awesome back in 4th ed with the Tyrranic war veterans and Cassius. Matt Ward hit them hard. A toast to Guilliman turning things around and making the boys in blue awesome again.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.

in the future rather then tyitleing youir threat "I hate ultramarines" how about "looking for info on Primaris Marines" and then ask "so, are Primaris Marines made purely from Ultramarines stock, or are other Legions stock being used?"

Ultramarines fans are just a LITTLE tired of having to constantly defend against space wolf fanboys suggesting ULTRAMARINES are mary sues

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

No Imperial Fists ?
