Have you actually seen a rat? Their faces aren't positioned like that with the upper part being bigger and longer.

Huh, yeah I kinda see that. It doesn't look that much like a skaven, but it does remind me of some rat mutant type creatures I've seen somewhere before.
Has it ever been established what happens if slaanesh manages to nom and eldar's soul before they die? Could be he tosses a minor demon in there to possess the now empty body or something, it looks pretty mutated.

I'm convinced that 40k is just the world that the Flesh Eater Ghouls from AoS imagine they are living.
The Emperor is actually Nagash.
The Space Marine Chapters are the various courts of the Ghouls.
Chaos is still Chaos. Orkz are Orkz. Stormcast are CSM. Etc...
You know I'm right.
That's a bold strategy to say the least, Cotton...

I saw someome say it in this thread and also saw it on reddit, why does everyone think GW is going to get rid of slaanesh? It doesnt seem like a decision many fans would be happy about

In an attempt to avoid alienating the 'soccer mom' demographic...or something.
But then Slaanesh is Trans so I would have thought that if GW wanted to signal it's progressiveness then it ought to remarket Slaanesh as the chaos god of social justice. In the grim darkness of the future, there are non binary gender pronouns.

They have put him away in Age of Sigmar for the narrative, but is pretty obvious that they are gonna bring him back.
The rest is just people on the internet speaking gak as if it was true.

Yeah, I mean even in AoS Daughters of Khaine (wyches) got new releases didn't they? Or were themselves a new subfaction? And they are about as sexualized as Slaanesh models are these days (as in bikinis and occasionally a nipple)

The funny thing is that thanks to her being put away for a bit there's actually a plot emphasis on Slaanesh and those who follow him. There's been more Slaanesh representation in AoS fluff then there has been in WHFB in years.

Oh man that's a cool development! That's 100% Chaos Eldar. Vaguely mutated beastman-like (although again, I'm seeing more Gor than Skaven) next to a Slaaneshi symbol.
Poly Ranger wrote:I thought Slaanesh devoured all the unguarded Eldar souls anyway... so why oh why would they ever fight for Chaos?
I thought this myself when I made my Croneworlders, but it's quite simple when you put a little imagination to it.
Whoever said these Eldar are fighting for Slaanesh of their own free will?
Slaanesh has billions upon billions of Eldar souls contained within her, either consumed whole (all the worse for the Eldar as they retain consciousness after death), or all chopped up into itty bitty pieces. What's to say she doesn't reform some of them as toys and playthings?
Slaanesh strikes me as the sort of entity who plays with her food...

Given the Slaanesh symbol right next to them, I strongly suspect these are Croneworld Slaanesh aligned Eldar. The 2nd edition Eldar Codex makes brief mention of Croneworld Eldar, though it remained unclear whether they were either spared by Slaanesh on a whim or recreated.
That said I am not too enthusiastic about just a Chaosified Eldar range. The Dark Eldar pretty much fill that role aesthetically even if they are not explicitly aligned with Chaos. I would much rather GW spend its time doing Exodites and/or Corsairs.

Any of those I'd be more than happy with, although it'd be slightly annoying to have yet more new Eldar plastics while all the Aspect Warriors save DAs languish in Finecast. Only slightly of course. I'd be ecstatic over any new Eldar plastics

Daemons tend to devour unguarded souls, that doesn't mean Slaanesh wouldn't prefer a servant spreading her power than just another soul, especially a servant as powerful as an Eldar. Plus, Eldar fighting for one of the other guards seems very possible, and I'm surprised there's not more stories of Chaos Eldar to be honest. I don't think Chaos Eldar goes against the established fluff at all.
However, I'd definitely agree that an entire faction of Chaos Eldar would be at best a weak mixing of Chaos and Dark Eldar, so I'd agree it's dumb writing. Still, would definitely be cool for a few Chaos Eldar to be about in fluff, or maybe even a character or two to play on Tabletop for Chaos.

Worshiping any Chaos god is pretty much going to end up with torment and pain, yet there seems to be no shortage of people willing to line up for that. Perhaps it's like the deal Jack Sparow tried to make with Davey Jones, instead of loosing their soul, they work out a deal with Slaanesh to get others souls to feed her. So long as they keep up the quota, they get to keep their souls.

Yeah, that looks like a Slannesh daemon not a rat. It could be corrupted Eldar but unlikely that it's a space skaven.
