From today's article:
Imperial Fists Strategem is Bolter Drill, which increases Bolt weapon accuracy.
Imperial Fist Relic is the Spartan, a souped up bolt pistol (probably has some AP and does two damage).
Warlord trait is a little weird. It increases the save of models in cover against AP-1 attacks.

Crimson Fists use the same Chapter Tactics and Strategem of the Imperial Fists.
Warlord Trait increases the number of attacks of the Warlord when outnumbered. That is pretty nuts.
Relic is called the Crimson Fist. Too bad Pedro Kantor won't be able to take it. I guess I will have to find someone to put a Power Fist on. The Anniversary Captain perhaps? I really hope Bolter Drill works on Bolt Rifles, Assault Bolters, and the like. It will make adding Intercessors into my army even better.

Black Templars reroll charges.
No word on Warlord Trait or relic.
Strategem is 1CP let's you negate a psychic power on a 4+. Not bad. More reliable than Deny the Witch.

Well, that IF & successors stuff seems rather underwhelming. Shame, fluff wise Dorn's progeny are my favourite marines.

Agreed. Though giving Pedro Kantor what amounts to Rampage will be fun. Too bad he won't be able to take the relic.

In other news, from Warhammer Twitch:
Bolter Drill: 1CP, all infantry-based bolt weapons; hits of 6 generate an extra hit (that don't generate more hits).

Coupled with my Sternguard-heavy army (and Intercessors and Bolter Scouts), this will be pretty nuts. Looks like I will be cutting the Grav cannons off my Centurions after all. Twin Heavy Boltguns and Hurricane Bolters will be insane.

I find it interesting how many people are going "yes, to take CT and allies you have to adjust your detachments, move things over to different detachments where they don't get CTs, or give up some CPs, but there is no cost or drawback to taking allies and CTs".

There is a cost, your own arguments acknowledge that there is a cost, so why are people pretending there is no cost?

Again, I don't think that these costs are crippling, and I don't think that they were designed in a way to prevent people from taking CT and allies in a competitive environment. Just like making a better weapon cost more points, these rules were designed to create a point cost in exchange for a benefit. That's all.

Better pics of the primaris datacards would be highly appreciated.

Especially the Aggressors, Inceptors, Hellblasters and Repulsor tank. Can't really see the options or rules for them in your photos.

Also, what options do the Intercessors have?

Matt usually posts incredibly detailed reviews, so cut him some slack.

Ah, yes, the Intercessors, I kinda brushed over them before.

The Sergeant can get a Power Sword, one model in every five an Auxiliary Grenade Launcher (pump a grenade out to 30"). The big upgrade is that anyone can take an Auto Bolt Rifle (shorter range but Assault 2) or a Stalker Bolt Rifle (36" range, Heavy 1, but AP-2).

The latter might give scouts a run for their money, but they all seem reasonable enough.

What are the maximum number of modes in Inceptor and Hellblaster squads, and does the entire squad need to have the same weapon or can they mix them? Thanks!

It says 'all models may replace', so all or nothing, I would presume. Squad sizes are 5-10, except for the big guys (Inceptors and Aggressors) who are 3-6.

Dakka is more for sharing information, not for posting links. I try to follow my own rule and I know sometimes I can't if I am on mobile. But if I'm on my computer, and I find information, I try to either copy the text to Dakka, link the pictures, or provide a summary of the information. It just irks me when people basically go "I have what you want, but I won't share it with you unless you come to my site".

That's all.

Edit: I know it's not all "click on my site only". Questions are being asked here on Dakka, and answers are given here by him. It just hit one of my pet peeves.

Pedro already comes with a relic level weapon though no?

Sounds pretty good. Man 10 storm bolter terminators going ham with bolter drill?

Any information on the actual restrictions for list building in order to get Chapter Traits?

So do Relics work just like last time, or are there more specific requirements this time?
What were any point adjustments you immediately noticed?

All fair enough. In my defence, I generally do post long reviews in the AoS section, but did not feel it appropriate in this thread, and I am not really part of the 40k community here. So, I figured a quick 'hey review, ask questions' would be as unobtrusive as possible.

Oh man i need more lore specifics on the codex organization.

its been bothering me

are the new 5 man units considered the full unit or something or is there now 120 marines per company?

Are the new interceptor armor just like centurion armor that existing assault squads just jump into?

I'm not part of the AoS community, so I've never seen the more detailed reviews either. Excuse my crankiness

can you share what wargear options the Primaris Captain has, and the Gravis variant? Curious to see if they're stuck with the very limited load outs we've seen so far.

It is all about the Keyword. There are no traits as such (ignoring the Black Templars 'no psyker' rule for now), and more about (very few) units and the Stratagems.

So is it just the "no units without [keyword] in the detachment" restriction to get CT that's been suggested?

Thanks for answering questions.

What are the rules for the Tome of Malcador? And, are there any bonuses for upgrading to a chapter master other than what was already shown in the index?
