My Imperium index 1 Enhanced edition downloaded just fine, but dark Imperium Enhanced edition shows as unavailable. Anyone else have this issue?

Yeah I went to the iBooks store and the enhanced version is missing. You can only get the ePub edition. Though maybe it was exclusive for pre-order people. Seems dumb, but I would not put it past GW. I guess I will wait through the weekend, if it does not show up Monday I am calling customer service.

This was ANSWERED further up the thread.

Some kind of platform incompatibility? What are you using?

So have they confirmed if we're going to get the bare bones data sheets to run an army or will we have to buy the indexes?

GW have never said that data sheets will be available for free. Take that as you will

Although, interestingly, the Primer does say on page 13

But where do you find datasheets? Well, when you buy a box of Citadel Miniatures they’ll be in the box with them, and they are also present in codexes.

So, some would seem to be free, others not...

It basically translates to 'as current stocks run out, they'll be including datasheets in everything going forward.' But existing players are pretty much expected to buy the index.
Next few months (or longer for some indie stores, I know some that won't bother to update/replace old stock), it's going to be a bit random, unless they send the datasheets to stores to match their current stock.

Looks exactly the same as the rules leaflet I was given today. As I expected. Still need the big rules for all the juicy stuff, but this is plenty to get a quick game or two in with my Indexes. Which is nice.

Take a look at what I've been painting and modelling: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/725222.page

Just wanted to mention that the enhanced rulebook is back up in the iBooks store.

yakface's 40K rule #3: Codex does not ALWAYS trump the rulebook, so please don't say that!

If people cannot find the link, or that does not work, it is listed in the store as the Battle Primer:

And, once you have it, here's the pre-FAQ FAQ:

It is the "Designers Commentary", taken from the same page the primer was announced:
