Hello, Dakka! Long time no I see. I have honestly missed you.

This new edition has brought me back and I'd started updating my Deathwing terminator blob army.

With the dissolving of The Command Squadâ„¢ in to individuals, I have a weird number of standard Deathwings left over. 2 TH/SS and 1 LC. I have enough parts to make 7 more terminators of... pretty much any configuration. I haven't really played a serious game yet and I'm not sure what guns is good and what guns is bad.

Will you help me?

Right now this is what does exist:
10x TH/SS (2 with magnetic Cyclone ML)
10x LC (2 with magnetic Cyclone ML)
7x PF
1x Plasma Cannon
1x Assault Cannon

Should double downand make another pure melee squad? Should I fill the rest with storm bolters? Heavy weapons are best to epuip my Deathwing with?

A Protoss colony world

I think AC's are the best ranged weapon, followed by CML's. If you want melee termies, take Deathwing Knights instead, as they are better in almost every way.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Thanks! I've been hearing this about the Deathwing Knights. I guess I'll make a ranged squad out of my leftover models.

A Protoss colony world

You might also build a set of the characters with one box of the Deathwing Command Squad kit. Make an Ancient, Apothecary, Champion, and a couple of extra guys. You could probably make a decent Belial out of those parts.

This is easy. Make them all Deathwing Knights. They do melee better than shooty terminators (who pay more for power fists than maces), and other units shoot better.
