Ive tried searching for the answer but seem to get contradicting results so... With 8th edition and the battle forged armies as i understand it, taking a battalion of csm and a battalion of daemons in a single army would not qualify as a battle forged army and as such would not qualify for command points?

For an example this is the list i am working with;

Now if it was battle forged it would enable 9 cp; 3 for battle forged and 3 for each battalion. But as they stand now and as i have read the rules they arent battle forged any longer and so dont qualify? Does anyone know a definitive answer for this please?

no they'd qualify as battle forged just fine. your chaos marines will also get full acess to legion tactics etc

Don't the bloodletters in the marine detachment break legion tactics?

I dont believe they break the legion tactics as they are a troop option for csm aswell as for daemon unless i am mistaken which is quite possible as i am still learning a lot.

You batallion is not made up soley of units with <LEGION> as you have bloodletters so you dont unlock strats

Yea the army is great but you need to change those bloodletters in the marine detachment to either csm or cultists for it to be a world eaters detachment and get WE traits and such things as allowing those beserkers to be troops.

You can put the blood letters in the rhinos correct?

So no than. I wasn't sure if you can use transports accross detachments. That is good.

You can use Transports across detachments. You however must abide by the transport's restrictions on what it may carry, and in the case of the Chaos Rhino it is <LEGION> INFANTRY.

Yea, I have swapped out the bloodletters from the CSM detachment and will either fill with another squad of berserkers or possibly some cultists, the plan is for the rhinos with berserkers to strike first, if they can get close enough, followed by the daemons HQ to enable summoning as close to the enemy as possible

Thanks for the reply, so if i have them as 2 seperate detachments as above but swapping out the bloodletters from the csm detachment for cultists or more zerkers i could then still keep the world eaters <legion> traits for that detatchment?

Yep. It's all in the Faction Keywords.

So your entire army must share at least 1 keyword from the Faction Keywords.

Every unit in one of your detachments must share the Legion keyword in order to get Legion based bonuses (based on the CSM Codex).

For instance: I have an army where every unit shares the Chaos and Khorne keywords.

I divided that army up into two separate detachments.

In one detachment, every unit shares the Heretic Astartes and World Eaters keywords. So they get the World Eaters trait.

In the other detachment, every unit shares the Daemons keyword. So I can either use them as a separate detachment on the field or I can summon them.
