The entry says the squad is made up for 3 sniper teams. Each model is armed with a sniper rifle.
How many models makes up the squad? Do you get 3 snipers with 2 wounds each, or 6 snipers with 1 wound each?

Elysian Sniper Team is the name of the Model, and the Unit contains three of these Models.
Note - the number of figures on a base is meaningless, it is still a single Model.

A Sniper team consists of two models - SNiper and Spotter that can either be modeled on 1 large base or two small bases.
EIther way, they are treated as a single model.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Two Figures, Snipers, People, purple-people eaters... I know it is semantics, but please refer to them as something other then Models.
Rules interact with Models, so if someone walks away from this thread believes there is two Models on that base....

A "model" here is a base with stuff on it. In this case it had two guardsmen miniatures on the base but it is still just one model.
Three bases/models in a squad. Each base has one sniper rifle.
It's the same as a heavy weapon squad - three models/bases, each with one heavy weapon, and each model consists of two guardsmen.

The only problem is the current Elysian Sniper Squads are sold with two large round bases (60mm?) and 2 25mm bases.

Seems more a problem with the manufacture process then how the Rules function....

The only problem is the current Elysian Sniper Squads are sold with two large round bases (60mm?) and 2 25mm bases.
That has absolutely no effect on the rules. Each model(base) is armed with a sniper rifle and a lasgun. There are ZERO rules to cover treating two separate models on two bases as a single model.

This was the exact nightmare of heavy weapons teams for regular IG back in 4th; and why they are now simply a single model with extra wounds and attacks.
You had 2 "models" on 1 large base; some modeled the second guy removable, some modeled him on a separate base. Some of the miniatures in metal were on separate bases.
Just use the profile and unit composition on the datasheet: the physical miniatures do not matter as much.
