I'm considering it dead. I will be extremely (pleasantly) surprised if we ever see anything new now that book 2 has all its minis out.

Last that was said they had a big plan for the game for this year. Perhaps the radio silence is because they want to hit with everything at once.

I'll give them a hard time. I've got the full factions for Shael-Han, Teknes, and Nasir with most of the Goritsi faction but I only get the models I like from that one post kickstarter. It's seriously one of the best games out there and I want it to succeed. The deep discount sale didn't exactly help locally with thinking it will be a supported game.

How about a KS for a WoK board game that has a Mordheim-style campaign model, featuring a new faction? Seriously, that is a great idea. Existing fans buy it for the new way to play (and the new faction) while making new fans that play board games....and might buy existing models (cards and such for them would be included in the KS).

Honestly, at this point I'll take anything too. Even just regular blog updates to let us know that the game hasn't been retired. I've been playing for about two years now and its a great game, but at no point during that two years was I convinced that they weren't about to announce that they were officially ending support.

It may be that the game is in a pretty impossible situation. ebay is flooded with cheap starters from the Kickstarter that give you all the models you could want,and now thanks to the CMON sale everything else is readily available for cheap too. because of that,and because new releases are nearly impossible to order, I think its extremely difficult for retailers to try carrying this game and creating communities around it.

Maybe the best thing they could do would be to introduce some new faction starters with new units for each army? That way every army has something new and interesting to buy thats a good starting spot for new players and not available for deep discount on ebay.

Dreaming for some wargame miniatures rules for the Rising Sun miniatures, myself. Didn't back RS because I don't enjoy most Eric Lang games, but the miniatures look fantastic. Still dunno how CMON's going to support their "lifestyle" games, given how much retail support they're promising for Song of Ice and Fire, and how little they've said for Wrath.

would love a WoK rpg. The setting is more than deep enough.

Are you sure? The twitter images they're posting show a couple demo tables, probably like what I saw at PAX Unplugged.

Not that it's really a good thing, mind. Their demos are tiny 2x2, minimal effort squares with unpainted miniatures (for GoT) or 5 guys on either side (for WoK Dark Age).

Dark age and GoT demos. Only the 4 newest releases on sale. They said it was due to space but it's a bigger area than last year. No display models at all.

This month, new recruits are hitting the battlefields of Arikania for Wrath of Kings. Three of the five Great Houses have releases in the form of new box sets. There’s two each for Nasier, Goritsi, and Shael-Han. All of them bring new options for commanders.

March Releases for Wrath of Kings

House Nasier starts out with the Izari Warhounds. These elite troopers are paired up with a highly-trained dog. The dog is given a ceremonial mask, which gives it limited telepathic abilities with its handler, letting the two work as a much more cohesive team. Nasier is also getting the Firehawk Reavers. These specialized warriors have traded in their dueling blades for tridents, making them ideal for leading charges right into the midst of the enemy’s defensive formations.

For House Shael-Han, tradition reigns supreme. Their Dragon Lancer units are equipped with ancient arms and armor, passed down for generations, imbued with spiritual power, granting these fighters with powers beyond normal human capacity. Shael-Han also knows that protecting key individuals is important. That’s why they employ the Paragons of Wrath. These bodyguards are fiercely dedicated to keeping the House’s commanders safe on the battlefield.

House Goritsi tends to favor specialists when it comes to their units. They may only do one thing, but they’re the best ones on the battlefield in their particular job. When it comes to surgical strikes, the Whitemane Duelists cannot be beat. They’re able to quickly get to their target and eliminate it extremely efficiently. On the defensive side of the battle, there’s the Gotha Knights. Once these werewolves dig their claws in, almost nothing can move them.

All of these sets will be hitting store shelves on March 30.

They are a lot of fun, and they work well together in groups.

I've been working on assembling a bunch of the stuff I got from the Cmon Christmas sale. The detail is really fantastic, and with blow dryer most warping and fit issues are easily solved there were a few where no amount of heating could get the pieces to fit (immanid Kraken!), but the majority went together very easily. I think Cmon have really figured out PVC miniatures.

Yeah, I have been pretty happy with assembling WoK stuff (except the Nasier back Spikes). I got a friend the Hateforge Titan for Christmas. It had a ton of gaps but he did a pretty good job of green stuffing them...

Speaking of which, the Hatreforge Titan is pretty epic. It towers over my largest Gorsits units. I want to get one but don't play Teknes... Trying to see if there is some cross over to use it in another game. It really is an awesome model.

My first thought on the Titan is Farrow in Hordes, but nothing actually sits on a base as big as the Titan.

Actually I don't think I've seen the thing in the flesh yet. Just how big is it? Card says it's on an 80mm base.

He is a little taller than the bones hill Giant, or about the same height as the Cauldron of Blood's Avatar of Khaine. Maybe 3 inches-ish?

Like Tamburlaine, I assumed he'd make a good Farrow Gargantuan, but it sounds like he's a bit small for that.

I can't find any pictures of one next to other miniatures sadly.

As someone who's not a player of WoK, I have to say, I'm very impressed by the background and miniatures. I've watched several videos of it, and have bought a few figures here and there (nothing to build an army, just what I thought looked cool), so I'm glad to see them still pumping stuff out for it. It's a great and fun concept, and it feels very original for sure. I'm glad the industry still puts out stuff like this, and not just a bunch of clones of other, more successful games.

Hmmm. I don't Play Hordes/Warmachine... So not sure. He is pretty big, probably the biggest WoK model, but no Idea how he compares to Other Pig Lords.

Snap some photos next to him with some other Wrath of Kings models- that'll help and be greatly appreciated!

I use the titan in my Nature army for KoW. Actually... quite a few WoK ends up in KoW hehe

I'd really recommend it. It's a fantastic game that's really easy to learn and play and does a number of things that I think are pretty clever with its rules. All the rules and cards are free and the minis are a good value for what you get. You can play pretty big games with just a faction starter on each side.
