Yeah those Weaver models are pretty ace.

Oberon is treated as a Spellbinder. This summer's commander has not yet been announced, so I am waiting for the Army list.
If the product in this image is released in August and Weaver is released in October, does that mean September is a preparation period and no products will be released?

Should note that the Sepulcher and the Theokrator aren't dual kits, even though the models obviously share some core components. Those things are huge (takes up 2 monster bases...) so they elected to have the different top sections as separate sprues and only package one in each version in order to keep the costs as reasonable as possible.

Cool diorama but I'm still disappointed that we have an unofficial Kung Fu Panda spinoff/crossover model set but no murder fish gnome unit box...

New Sorcerer Kings releases

The fact that their photo was leaked of the painted actual product means that the release of Weaver is not ready and will be postponed until next year? The Happy Hour event scheduled for August 7th has also been cancelled, And I haven't heard anything about the new schedule yet.

That's a pretty major assumption to jump to? The August Happy Hour event was postponed until September 18th. Specifically because they wanted the associated rules update to go live after their Chios tournament event. Also because they've decided to move away from showing off new models in an unpainted form and they wanted to give the studio painters more time to get them ready to have the images for the product catalogue (and for their livestreams). They gave the reasons for the delay (and the new date) in the same message announcing the delay. Weaver Court release is unaffected unless there's been some other announcement.

It seems not, darylmckay mentioned on the official discord that painted sorcerer kings models would be part of the next happy hour when prompted more said "Trinavarta and one of the Marid sets inbound!".

There's a lot going on with those Weaver rules. Love the Seasonal cycle mechanic and the Seed/Bloom is an interesting way to play but it feels like it's going to be a lot to keep track of mid-game, especially when there's so much variation between what Season any given unit is affiliated with and whether effects trigger from a Bloom or the enemy unit just having Seed tokens on them. Nice evolution of the classic Wood Elf archetype though (and far less focused on archers).

I have nothing to back this up beyond a vague memory but I seem to recall that they've said that Weavers were almost a bonus in the schedule as they've been in works for so long. They did mention in the Happy Hour that they're going to be pushing out the Weaver releases fairly swiftly to get them plenty of variety in list building so whether that translates into their regular release pattern occurring next year in terms of new releases then who can say. Wouldn't be shocked if they had a period of catching up to get some new sculpts out for those early units; Spires are having their big rework so probably the optimal time to get new Drones/Clones to replace the original starter set. If the new faction ends up being Black Army then that might not even be too release intensive given it's likely to incorporate units from other armies.

GD_Rhys has confirmed there won't be a new faction announced in January, but beyond that I've not seen anything official. I wonder if they'll use the weavers to move the new faction release period to Oct/Nov (i.e. before christmas) rather than the start of the year.

I think the two characters look a bit silly.

Decent combination of stuff. Noble's helmet matches one of the art pieces and is indeed suitably silly. The Spire character is probably the better of the two and a different paintjob away from being a pretty good Weaver model too.

To be fair, historical armour wasn't always "sensible" either.
Turns out looking good trumps being practical, especially if you're nobility and want to show off.

Case in point - Charles V's helmets :

I think the helmet looks good it is just way too big.
