Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

I didn't even think to count the total of my own work this year. 98 minis!
I count for two reasons. One, is to keep my weekly goal. The other is to try to paint more then I buy. I’ve got more luck keeping the pace up then reducing the pile of shame.
So I'm back water having a little drink since it turns out I had forgotten about the few enjoyable things I did this year and instead believed they were a distant memory.
Anyway, turns out I've painted 50 models this year.

Best thing to do is upload directly to DakkaDakka's galleries and link to that. I do this with all my photos, despite having a Flickr page, because Dakka and Flickr don't always agree, and other photo hosting sites are even worse.

What a fortuitous thread for a new member. Drawn to these threads like a moth to a flame.
The start of the year saw me jumping in with Orks

Mostly straight from box, but a few conversions because I'm not keen on the fickle nature of finecast.
Sadly, I don't have/can't find pictures of my Dreadmob Formation I completed then sold after realising I didn't like painting vehicles.
Then everything went quiet for about 7 months until moving home found me interested in plastic toy soldiers once again.

and found me completing one of two 'Getting Started' boxes for Sylvaneth.
Last year showed a stunning disparity between 'models bought' vs 'models completed'. A trend likely to continue with the last 2 days of December found me trying out a test scheme for Slaaneshi Space Pirates

Happy Painting

I hope this doesn't count as a thread necro, since we are still in January, but I finally managed to take a decent picture
I am very proud of 2017, for the first time ever I have a decent fully painted army. My "Krimson Maws":
I painted other stuff, but boy, these are the ones that I'm really proud of.

Due to a new addition to the family I haven't painted as much as I'd like. This is what I was able to get done last year. Some of the Daemons are from 2016, but all of the Emperor's Children are from 2017.
