Happy new year everyone

Got a game on Wednesday and finally got my astra militarum to 2000 points and looking for advice and possibly more suggestions on how to improve etc
General tactics is the infantry screen my tanks and help stop deep strike shinangans gun line all the way at the back with basilisks and tank commanders with battle cannons and exterminor while pask and other punisher go infantry hunting I'm really enjoying the bull gryns and they cause a grief once they charge out of the chimera :p the vox casters on the infantry units is for the stratagem to do d3 mortal wounds and commanders are just for orders for the heavy weapon teams

Looks good! Some tweaks I would make, drop the heavy weapon teams down to mortars, they'll serve better than heavy bolters or frag missiles and you don't lose out much giving up krak missiles. With the points I'd throw a lascannon into each infantry squad and maybe plasma (or at least volley guns) on to your scions. As-is, the infantry isn't doing anything but taking up space, which is helpful of course, but some special weapons could see them contributing some worthwhile shooting.

Also you don't have a whole lot of targets for orders, you could probably drop the voxes and switch the platoon commanders for astropaths to get some psyker defence going on.

Reason for the bolters and missile is that what I own however working towards more mortars the platoon commanders are there to make sure the hwt reroll all hit rolls rather then just ones but I do like the idea of maybe a primaris payer or the astropaths a you said I'll defo give them a go and the main reason for the vox on infantry is to benefit from. The fire on my position stratgem so I'm happy to give them up with no special weapons but do agree on the plasma scion so will do a bit of jigging to grt things to work thank for the advice

Will let you know how it goes didn't realise company commanders can issue 2 orders so defo trying the astropaths

Game went well called it a draw as we ran out of time but was a fantastic game overall
