Hey all,
This is an update from my last post where I posted 9700 pts of Chaos, back in 2016 link(https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/693145.page). Since then, I have sold the Emperor's Children force, but have painted up a whole host of new stuff. Most of it is Khorne related, as you can see, including an entire renegades and heretics force and loads of bloodthirsters!

This is what the warhost looked like in June 2016:

All round the house! hahaha. Lots of different cases, including a Khorne icon crusade case. I also have a display case where most of the big and delicate models live.

I thought I saw a Fantasy Ogre Kingdoms Stonehorn/Thundertusk in there, what does that stand in for? Also, next to it were some other beasts of some kind, I'm curious as to what they count as.

The collection looks awesome all arrayed for war like that! I'll have to take some shots like this whenever I get a huge army painted.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2024: 40 | Total models painted in 2025: 40 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Dang that is heck of impressive

Top down look makes even the big old tanks look small compared to the whole army

realism is a lie

Thundertusk = Lord on Juggernaut of Khorne
Other beasts (mammoths) = chaos spawn

And I'm glad you find this inspirational!

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

That is beautiful!

Two questions:
1. How long did that take to paint?
2. Have you ever/are planning to field all of it at once in a glorious apocalypse battle?

Thank you!

I think the oldest paintjob in this collection was done in 2004. This would be on the World Eaters (top right). Most of the others were painted in the last three years.

Definitely! Apocaylpse is the ultimate kind of 40k!
