Hi,
I was wondering if there were any good alternatives to the ugly GW Chaos Havocs miniatures without too much conversion work?

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Absolutely not! Which kit would you recommend, apart from imperial space marines that I'd need to convert? Automatically Appended Next Post:
Yes, that would be my default option, the only thing is that there would be imperial eagles on most of the marines torsos :/

The legion heavy weapon squads would be the obvious choice. The mk2 and mk3 options do t have any imperial details I can see. Just need to add some spike bits if you sci g yo that style of chaos troops.

I’d just use standard CSM models and outfit them with desired weapons sourced from either eBay or Forgeworld

That's what I did. I got a bunch of guns from eBay and I got a bunch of generic bolter CSM from a local bits dealer. I'm going to magnet the arms so I can have kit options. I'm primarily going for plasma guns and heavy bolters. Everything else is subject to need.

Look up any of the "Legion MK" Heavy Support Squads.
They're basically Havoc/Devastator bodies with arms to match the "old style" heavy weapons.

Not if you base them on MKIII or MKIV bodies which have none of those. Ie Calth/Prospero boxes. Those + FW weapons+chaosification=chaos havoc.
