Indeed. 4 bumper size, outside of the 80, issues throughout the sub.
£14.99 it looks like. Contents unknown. There’s a chance this is where the Plague Burst Crawler would be for instance.

We’ve still never known whether the collection in the big picture is the standard 80 issues (I’m guessing the 4 biggest things bay actually be in these?

Time will tell, but I hope someone finds out or receives it before my opt out letter deadline

If a subscriber receives something they don't want, it can be returned unopened within a set period.

I assume that, theoretically, a customer could sign up to the whole sub and return all of the individual issues they don't want throughout the course of that sub.

You can. But within 14/28 days (I forget which) of receiving the issue in particular. And I believe you won’t get the postage back.
So not worth cherry picking from a sub I think.

I was given a free post address when I contacted them via PayPal to return the issue 6 Hachette sent me instead of a Calsius issue. I'll see if I still have it on PayPal.

That’s useful. Though it may only be for use of ‘sent in error’ rather than you choosing to return. As they pay by the parcel for free post.

Depends how vigilant they are when looking at parcels arriving,,
Or perhaps returns for refund have to go to a certain address or some such clause..

But would be good to have on here I think.

It's been mentioned elsewhere on Dakka that the first special issue will be an artbook.

On a facebook group I'm in, someone says thet called customer services and the second special issue will be a codex.

Hmm wonder if it's going to be a codex for those silver templars that are meant to feature in the partworks (tho we don't seem to have seen them yet?)

or just Ultramarines (or Deathguard)?

It’ll be the Space Marines and the Death Guard codexes if so.
Art book for first.
Then something else for the 4th I suppose..

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I’ll worry about it in five months or so as to whether I’ll want to have the codex. (Currently don’t have either so..).

I did wonder if it’d be Art Book. Rulebook. Codex. Codex.
Or some variation order of that..

Art book, rule book, codex and codex have been mentioned as potential deluxe issues previously.

Silver Templar’s have had been seen briefly in an early issue, if I remember correctly, mostly about colour scheme and the fact that they are experts at duelling. Next weeks issue or the one after has another article on them.

Mentioned by people suggesting it could be that?
Or actually semi officially somewhere?

More I think about it, more it makes sense.
That way, the main collection is models and all that, as per collection details.
But gives you the other bits you’d need to play.
Then premium is more extras etc..

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And I think that’s all Silver Templar’s will be. Just information throughout the issues, little fluff bits. There isn’t much more realistically they can do.

I believe it was mentioned as one of the options in the survey.

Suffice it to say the answer to "Art book, rulebook, codex, codex" is going to be "not interested, got it, got it got it"

so if you get the option to decline in advance I will be, if the art book was a detailed paint guide from first principles to weathering etc it could be interesting.

Its good if they are putting the codexes out as an option though

on the plus side my subscription seems to run about two weeks behind the initial release dates so plenty of chance to work out whats going on before they land

Watching the most recent video for this, worth noting I like the videos, they have picked the right person for them without a doubt.

the rules they are teaching don't seem to gel with the current game rules - e.g. models with fly being able to move over other models when charging, and the way they explain it... it makes perfect sense to work that way

Thing is the rulebook and codexes are the perfect choice for them to give away. Though as this isn’t really for us, it seems like it’s not the best deal. But for anyone new into the hobby, those are good ideas to be fair..

Was happy to get my issues 15-18 delivery today, as well as the Space Marine chapters poster and art book opt out letter.

"Discover a brand new limited edition book full of incredible artwork by some of Games Workshop's best artists. The art in this exclusive product depicts the superhuman Space Marines and their sworn enemies, the disgusting, mutated forces of the Death Guard. Your high quality hardback book comes with a protective sleeve and makes an exciting addition to your Warhammer 40,000 collection!".

You can either email or phone them to opt out. £14.99 as said or 19.99 euros for ROI.

It is really fun, and quite a manageable way to build up forces. I have issues 1-14 all painted up already.

I will be enjoying it when I get round to painting even the first!
Lack of time so far (due to other projects), and not settling on paints schemes hasn’t helped

Delivery arrived today, issue 19 does come with both the Lord and terminators rather than being split which is a nice surprise.

What’s in issue 20?

Imperial Soup
2200pts/1750 painted
2800pts/1200 painted
2200pts/650 painted
217pts/151 painted

Issue 20 is the final container.

The game board which comes with issue 18 is a full sized double sided killzone board but in a cheaper material. Still very usable though. Issue 20 did not actually use the new board but the missions from issue 21 onwards will use it.

PSA: Warhammer Conquest is about to charge you extra!

https://fauxhammer.com/news/psa-warhammer-conquest-is-about-to-charge-you-extra/

Turns out they will add special issues, in this case at a cost of £15 for an art book you may not want. they don't provide any indication of what is in this book

Some people have said that they advised you of this, but All I can find is the following

"We would like to be able to contact you about offers and other collections you might enjoy.
Please tick here if you wish to opt out."

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

it is nice, though when you look at the spure count someone did there are at least 80 sprues IIRC so given some issues are just paints there are going to be a few like this - expecting some more of the DI stuff to come as at least pairs, can the marine scouts be supplied split or are they ones you need more than one frame to make anything?

if GW are going to make this sort of thing common in the future I'm expecting to see sprue laid out to support it for smaller models at least - single frames, say for a box of five models a frame with three basic ones, then two more fanciful 'command' type models so they are easy to split

the cynic suggests they can;t say whats in the book or many more will reject it...

if it was going to be something you would actually want it would be advertised.

a painting guide/techniques book would be a lot more useful to be honest

this weeks sprue from Dark Imperium comes with 3 flight stands for the hellblaster and warns you to keep the 2 you don't use as you'll need them later so they are prepared for you to have stuff you've got to hang onto for several weeks

While I wish my deliveries were a little more consistent/reliable, yeah, I'm really loving this format
maybe the inconsistent delivery is a good thing lol, it's always a nice surprise.

saw that "keep these safe" on the latest video, was bound to happen at some point.

seems I get mine closer to monthly than 4 weekly here, pretty much always landing around the 9th/10th so far.

I am liking this though, they arrive at a rate I can keep up with and manage to build/paint one lot before the next arrives, wouldn't want it faster - I am working on other stuff alongside, but this is good.

I'm hoping this becomes a regular feature with GW

From the Terms and Conditions you agreed to when you took out the subscription -

• As a subscriber, you will automatically receive binders as they become available at £7.99 (€9.99) each. You will also receive special issues, though you will have the option to opt out of these beforehand.

And the letter you receive with this months issues has more details along with a picture of the book and it's slipcase.

"Discover a brand new limited edition book full of incredible artwork by some of Games Workshop's best artists. The art in this exclusive product depicts the superhuman Space Marines and their sworn enemies, the disgusting, mutated forces of the Death Guard. Even if you don't want a copy then I would say you would be able to sell it for more than the £15 price you are paying. If it's similar to the 2000AD cover books then I would expect it to be a little larger than an American comic book rather than A4.
