What do the different effects around cards mean?

I think green is uncommon and red is rare, but what about yellow?

No colour: Common.
Green: Rare.
Orange: Epic.
Yellow: Legendary. You can only carry up to one of these instead of usual two.

I have a question for you Everguild that's been boggling the mind for a while.. What is the deal with Lucius?

I mean he's a normal card for Emperor's Children but he shows up as a Warlord in the Events. Is he going to get a Warlord card later? Was he planned to be a Warlord but changed but the events didn't reflect it so we get him in events rather then Bile?

At least with scams like MTG you at least get a piece of paper for your obscene amount of money, this gives you all of the money pit of a CCG with none of the benefits.

Compared to what? 40k? And the money pit that is? Or every other game out there?

No, no mail here when I pre-registered, I think the only mail we'll get is the one with the said code for the bonus stuff.

Is all the pvp bot clones of others' decks or do you actually play anyone.

Also, what is up with the purple card you get in your hand at the start of every game with Angron? It just felt like it stayed there and I didn't use it once in 14 turns.

Lucius is a Legendary Emperor's Children card. For our first Event, he is also a special playable warlord, only for the duration of this Event. Our rule of thumb is, if the lore asks for it, any card could become a playable Warlord for an Event.

It's the first day and we're delaying the big announcement to to make some last minute tweaks. Soon the playerbase should be dense enough to see less bots, and bots will get newer decks and sharper AI over time.

All Traitor Primarchs have a cool special 'Whispers of Chaos' mechanic. This comes in the form of a card with a condition to reduce its cost and that is added to your deck automatically (making Primarch decks have a total of 31 cards). Whispers of Chaos cannot leave your hand in any way other than playing it, and it ignores any cost changing effects except the one stated in the card. If you manage to play it, your Warlord will transform into a super-powered version of itself. In the case of Angron, he will ascend to Daemonhood, gaining +1 attack, Blood Thirst, Unstunnable and healing some life.

The cost of such power comes with filling your hand with it from the beginning of the game, and that's intended to make a Primarch's early game just one card less flexible to help weaker Warlords hold their ground against them.

So far I like it. I wish there was a way to get the other faction decks in game without spending real money however. I want the Garro deck...

You can get the warlords in the crates. I've done 3 events today and have gotten 2 garros and 1 of the world eaters guy. The starters don't have any unique cards so you don't have to buy them.

I like it, it'd be nice if there were more cosmetics and an offline mode but apart from that it's great. Always good to see developers reaching out to the community.

I'll be following this game, playing it here and there.

First impression - cheap looking.

Mobile games shouldn't look cheap anymore. Many don't.

By cheap, I mean the physical animations of how the cards move. It isn't smooth. It's low frame.

Animations from attacks look cheap as well, i.e. bombs, etc...

Hopefully by the end of the year the animations will look smooth.

I'll be playing it, and continuing feedback.

Thanks!

This is so terrific! The combination of Games Workshop with an online collectible card game could not possibly result in an unbalanced pay to play money pit designed to extract maximum profit from end users.

Paradigm for a happy relationship with Games Workshop: Burn the books and take the models to a different game.

So played it a fair bit yesterday.

I kinda feel the same way as BuFFo. It doesn't necessarily look cheap but it looks busy, I think the screen needs to be a bit clearer. I get that you have tried to convey where you are fighting as the arena but with the cards being busy its sometimes hard to read/see. The cards could do with a redesign maybe show the image in the centre with black top and bottom and white numbers, this should make them easier to see on the arena.

The card animations aren't smooth and should be looked at. Some of the effects of the cards aren't clear either. Perhaps a symbol or marker should be applied to the top right of the card designating that it is suffering from an effect. pressing the card would still bring up what the card is being a affected by.

The aiming reticule and red line could do with a rethink, it looks a bit budget.

I'm in two minds about the mechanic where you have to spend a charge to use a cards special ability. I can see why you have to wait for the next turn when you play a card or why you can only perform a special attack or attack with the card but I think I am more of the thought that the card should be able to use its special straight from play and allowing the card to attack and uses it's special once it's able to to. I think this is better as you are having to sacrifice your charge to use it and that will cost you a card that turn. It also allows for some tactical plays. Waiting to put your 5 cost card down turn 8 so that you can use your deal 4 damage 3 cost charge special etc.

Have the ability to not receive emotes and able to turn it off in the options. There are a lot of pricks out there already. I've just started playing and have not a lot of an idea about what all the cards do yet I am being called imperfect scum. Doesn't make me want to start playing it again.

Saul Tarvitz ability is 0 cost, that needs to be fixed.

At least with 40k I'm buying physical models, and I know exactly what I'm getting when I buy it. It's not a digital CCG scam where you pay real cash for some pictures of cards, and you have to play the RNG slot machine to see if you get any of the few good cards or throw away your money on the 95% that is trash.

I mostly played in event yesterday, and while the first 8 matches were all against bots (I even thought that was supposed to be that way. Eternal has a similar mode you can play against AI for more cards) , later in the night it always against other people. This morning I did a quick event match and it was a against a player again.

I'll add my voice to the "UI looks busy". It was the first impression I had when I booted the game for the first time and when I checked the store, it only got stronger. That's my biggest complaint. (the other is some of the card's artwork, BUT, that's my personal problem )

I'm guessing bugs should be reported to the forum? I had one yesterday where I had a card in my hand that I couldn't interact in any shape, way or form. It was... interesting to win that match

Call it a nice bonus? I mean, you can't possibly want to play against the AI...

Thanks for all your feedback!

– Heard you on UI. Any more specifics you can give us?
– We aim to review animations over time.If any card animation or interaction feels particularly grating, let us know so we bump it up on the list.
– There is a mute chat option already in place. Hit the Settings (cog) button and flip the 'Mute Chat' switch.
– Saul Tarvit's ability consists in lowering the cost of the next card played this turn by 1. His ability costing 0 is intended– and great to make tempo decks.
– Bugs should be reported at support@everguild.com. Even better, they can be reported in-game in two taps on the top right corner of the screen:
from the main menu, hit the (i) button as show below. Then, tap on Contact Us. Image for reference below.

Starting out, why not? When I have an idea of the cards and what they do and know what I am doing then I want to play against other people.

Thank you! Is there any way we can have that on permanently? It seems to click off after each game?

I really like the way you can move your cards in order, that's a nice touch

Maybe I missed it, but is there a card compendium that lets you review ALL the cards, even the ones you don't own? I did not see it at first glance.

So far I find the AI harder to beat them people. My first event I lost my AI matches but won against a real person.

BTW, nice job with the lore. So far the game seems to follow the story really well. I like starting with Loken.

Thanks,
Duncan

Thanks! Working with the mix of lore and gameplay is one of the highlights for us. Stay tuned for new Events based on scenarios straight out of the Black Library novels.

– You can see all cards in the Cards menu. Tap on Collection, located at the top center of the screen. Then tap on All Cards at the top left corner. You can then filter by army, energy cost or name.

I feel somewhat tricked by the title of this thread.

It's not a CCG if you can't actually collect anything. Limited time access to an online app owned and run by someone else does not a collection make, and unlike "Real" CCGs, Star Wars deciper for example, the stuff you sink your money into has considerable resale value almost two decades after print. If I understand this right, the stuff you buy will have zero resale value once support is discontinued.

Kudos for inventing more 40k stuff. A _Real_ CCG, I would unashambly buy into in a heartbeat, but I can only echo 'Digital - Hard Pass' and concerns over the Horus Herasy setting gimping you into a far more limited pool of ideas.

40k has everything 30k does now, [Even primarchs] but with way more room for new stuff. An Imperium vs Chaos 40k game has exactly the same potential has a HH game, but can be expanded one faction at a time in a way HH can't.
