Most games have been at 2k, sometimes 1500.

My most important criteria is games that can finish (turn 5 or 6) in 2.5 hours. As a general rule, 2K points can't, so I play smaller games whenever I can.

2000 points. Maybe when the codexes of my armies drop, and several units get the points reduction they deserve, I can enjoy smaller games.

Nearly always play 2k points. Locally i've ran a narrative league we has seen some people grow forces from 400, 1000, 1300, 1600 then 2000 points

We play 2000 points as our standard. It allows you to field a lot more on the table and makes for a better game in my experience.

The 2000 being a free for all and the 1500 being more of a 'leave the primarchs and guard CP batteries at home' skirmish kind of game

Interesting you should say that! My 2k games so far have always been wrapped up by turn 3. Either from tabling or being so disadvantaged that one side concedes.
Last 1.5k game I played went to turn 6! I guess because we could fit less truly devastating units in our army perhaps?

All about PL since thy brought it in. Find you can throw lists together wonderfully quickly, so it’s very easy to change up game size according to the amount of time available; I’ve been doing in the range of 30-80. Wouldn’t mind going for the occasional 100 but I’m very particular about only using painted stuff.

I see this a lot about games not lasting the duration but I've never had a game that wasn't about 1000 points be decided by turn 3. It nearly always goes to turn 5 if not longer. But then I also think a lot of players get fed up and concede early rather than play on and try to adapt to the events in game,
