Hi people. New to 40k. I have decided to build a World Eaters army (not pre heresy, so all blood red stuff). I have come up with the following 2.000 points (8th ed), but would like some feedback on the list, as I am all new to the game.
Battalion detachment
Kharn 160
Terminator Lord Axe of blind fury, combi-melta, hatred incarnate 129
Troops (3-6)
Berzerkers (8) Champion: Chainsword, powerfist / 7 x chainsword, chainaxe / icon of wrath 157
Berzerkers (8) Champion: Chainsword, powerfist / 7 x chainsword, chainaxe / icon of wrath 157

Dedicated transport
Rhino combi-bolter 72

A few things. You've overcosted by 10 points for the maulerfiends each (tell me if im wrong but i think the tendrils are 12 points and the base model is 140). I would remove both the terminator lord and terminators, (129pts), (244pts), then add a winged daemon prince,(170pts) and give it the reroll charge relic. Then add in another maulerfiend (152pts). Then add in a 5 more Khorne bezerkers with chainswords (80pts) to fill out 2 squads to 10 each and the other to 9 to allow Kharn in the rhino. Then remove a powerfist and replace with a sword on the bezerkers. Then add a defiler with reaper autocannon and scourge (179pts). If you want the defiler to have twin lascannons which are 50 opposed to 15 for the reaper autocannon, juggle the gear of the bezerkers around, and the rhino combi bolters.
Comes to 2000. Maybe have the Bezerkers in rhinos with kharn in too. Prince supporting the 4 maulerfiends/defiler

Thank for the reply! You are right, I have overcosted the maulerfiends. 30 points more to play with. Good point in removing terminators and lord, that will free up a lot of points. Are they not worth it? (cool models though). I believe I am only allowed to have 3 Heavy Support in a battalion, right - should I add another mauler and defiler at the cost of CP's? Yes, would definately like to have the 10,10,9 berzerker squads, could not find the points initially. I would like them to be in rhinos, with Kharn going with the 9 man squad. Would it maybe be an idea to include a warpsmith, with a 9 man zerker squad in a rhino, going close to the maulers?
I will try and juggle around with the list a bit

The Daemon Prince is usually worth more than a unit of Terminators. Wings make a huge difference. Can't say whether the Lord is worth it or not.
Maybe instead of another Maulerfiend, consider a Blood Slaughterer. Slightly more than the Maulerfiend, better WS, automatic 6 inch advance, gets +2 attacks when it is already in combat.
Easily overlooked by opponents compared to the larger Maulerfiend model. Comes on a Terminator base.

Thanks for the reply. I will look into it tomorrow and come up with a revised list. I did not know about the Blood Slaugtherer - is that a Forge World thing? Very clever to use the psychological aspects, but I think I want my things to look imposing

Okay, so the Blood Slaugtherer looks incredibly nasty, both stat-wise and the mini. I like it. I don't understand how it could fit on a terminator base though, can that really be true? So here is a revised list, what do you guys think:
Batallion detachment
HQ
Kharn 160
Deamon Prince wings, talisman of burning blood, hatred incarnate, hellforged sword and talon 180
Troops
Berzerkers (9) 9 x chainsword, chainaxe / icon of wrath 163
Berzerkers (9) 9 x chainsword, chainaxe / icon of wrath 163
Berzerkers (10) 10 x chainsword, chainaxe / icon of wrath 180
Elites
Helbrute Twin lascannon, missile launcher 147
Helbrute Twin lascannon, missile launcher 147
Heavy Support
Maulerfiend Lasher Tendrils 152
Maulerfiend Lasher Tendrils 152
Maulerfiend Lasher Tendrils 152
Fast Attack
Blood Slaughterer 180
Dedicated transport
Rhino combi-bolter 72
Rhino combi-bolter 72
Rhino combi-bolter 72

I'd say drop the other helbrute for an ex champ and then spend the other points on AT. This gives you an extra CP (Canberra game changing) and gives very tasty reroll wounds on everything if positioned correctly.
Automatically Appended Next Post: This is because you have enough AT in the maulerfiends already, and reroll wounds also lets you strip wounds off from tanks easier- very useful.

Ok thanks, got it! what I don't understand then, is what the AT i should spend points on is? Should it have been a dark apostle or what? I suppose there is also nothing Canberra about an extra CP

You mean the ancient RT model? The FW version -- which has been around for what, 10 years now? -- is a smidge larger.
I have two and they just fit on 100mm bases.
