So, I've picked up the snapfit Primaris Marines to start my own custom Chapter, but I've not settled on a scheme. So, with no further ado, here's the two I've got:

Both Chapters side by side. The Company Trims aren't set in stone - ie, I could happily go for the beige marine with 3rd Company Trim or the grey with 2nd Company Trim.

Grey armour, blue shoulderpads, and 3rd Company Trim. I'm a little concerned these guys will look too similar to my Ultramarines, which are my current primary Space Marine army.

Beige armour, blue shoulderpads, and 5th Company Trim.

So, which do you all prefer? They'd follow codex colour schemes, so red sergeant helms and white veterans, for example. The Chapter sigil would probably be something along the lines of a golden sunburst/halo, the personal heraldry of my Ultramarines Captain who's been given the "Primaris" treatment, and is now commanding this new Chapter.

I like the contrast on the bleached bone color scheme. But given the predominant neutral tones, I think making the blue shoulder pads less primary blue will help tie in the overall color scheme. Try getting the blue to somewhere in the middle of the blue and the grey in the grey color scheme?

Personal opinion: beige armor.

Unfortunately it is impossible to be unique as a space marine player, everything has been done from angry marines all the way to my little pony marines. The least we can do is strive for different. I like your approach so far.

I think the beige will look nice on the table and it will give you some nice options for patterns on vehicles.

How do you mean less primary blue? More like a teal or muted blue, like The Fang?

Thank you! I was a little worried about my grey scheme looking too similar to Astral Claws or my own Ultramarines, and the beige one is slightly similar to Celestial Lions (beige instead of gold), but if it looks sufficiently different, I'll take that!

Does anyone have any preferences on what the trim colours should be?

I believe by less primary he implies a darker shade, to provide a little more contrast to the ensemble.

I love the beige coloured ones!

Outer Space, Apparently

The beige one reminds me of Novamarines in a way - I'd definitely go for that one!

A matter of personal preference I'd say, but 2nd or 5th Company trim colours would probably go best with the rest of the scheme.

The blue ones look too much like Ultramarines and/or Crimson Fists. The bone colored ones are far more visually interesting.

The beige/bone colour, but without the vivid blue.

+1 to the bone one but with the blue either more muted or darker, Prussian blue or perhaps Oxford blue.

closer to a violet colour, but still on the blue side perhaps.

I also like the beige scheme best. If you already have ultramarines tyen a blue scheme would be too hard to.distinguish from them.i think.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Beige one for sure, maybe a bit of black on the Aquila instead of blue, and maybe black on the shoulder trim to darken up the blue a bit.

Totally agree with everyone that the sand colour is best, but the blue shoulder pad doesn't work.

I think a turquoise or jade might work better.

Thanks all! I think beige has won over by a significant margin, so I'll be happy to use that.

UbI1k - The Aquila and shoulder trims are already black coloured, I think I might have highlighted them a bit too strongly!
