Spoiler:

Black Rose Wars looks lovely, is funded at $400k, but it's being done by Italians with a US face not yet delivered the previous game.

If this were a CMoN game, I'd back!

I'm backing it, didn't back the previous two.

The company did two previous KS, the first is half delivered, with the second wave hitting in June. The second KS should be delivered this month, but they only recently finished all the sculpts and the minis are now going into production...

The Dice Tower crew did a playthrough and they looked like they were having fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijs9xX6fBa0

How did the minis turn out from their previous efforts?

I had a copy of Nova Aetas that I got off of eBay, having backed all their unsuccessful ones and had to cancel the one that actually funded due to house issues.
Figures were big and well detailed for the material they were cast in (board game plastic). The game had a lot going for it, especially if you ever wanted to play Final Fantasy Tactics in a board game form (I did). One of the cooler aspects I liked was the included 3D terrain.

There were some translation hiccups which is what eventually led me to sell it on, waiting for the 2nd wave to hit with the stretch goals and a revised rule book. I'd rather scoop up everything all together than have to pay up for it again.

I've heard their resins are good, haven't ordered any yet myself.

Also backed Sine Tempore, and they've been pretty consistent on keeping updates coming.

At least with the current funding levels this is at, I'm hoping they've got enough funds coming in (as well as via the PM) that everyone will see their games arrive safe and sound and Ludus Magnus can be in a good place financially.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I want to like this, but I'm not sure about the gameplay. The whole pre programming your spells and then being locked into useing them in a certain order seems like it would take away from your options of what you can and cant do to outplay your opponents.

Lots of updates coming out of the team. They make it sound like there will be plenty of ways to modify your hand based on what wizard you are playing and what rooms you activate.

This seems like a rather cool game with nice miniatures. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it. Really considering backing this even though I just found out about this quite recently.

It seems to be selling well and the miniatures are made from PVC which worries me. I absolutely loathe CMON projects. Anyone know a good unbiased review of their previous games? Were they PVC as well? Are they much better that the horrible garbage that Sedition Wars and Wrath of Kings is made from?

Were the games of their previous launches good as well?

Current CMoN stuff is pre-assembled or monopose, not the awful stuff that was used for Sedition Wars.

I've backed Sine Tempore (the previous SciFi game) and I'm backing this.

Since ST hasn't come out yet (it's going into the printing phase about now), I cannot comment how the figures turn out when done into plastic. I'm hoping for the best, but I'm happy to get about CMON level stuff.

The big Crono figure and Old Man Jukas will get ST rules too, so that was reason enough for me to jump in.

We weren't even testing for that.

If you weren't happy with Wrath of Kings level PVC you will almost certainly be disappointed here. Cmon has set the high water mark for PVC in the biz, so this will almost certainly disappoint you.
