I'm also looking forward to Orks, a classic enemy that deserves to be as tough, rough and ready as their reputation.

If you ever play with "that guy" remember this :
"there may be times when you are not sure exactly how to resolve a situation that has come up during play. When this happens, have a quick chat with your opponent and apply the solution that makes the most sense to both of you (or seems the most fun!), If no single solution presents itself, you and your opponent should roll off, and whoever rolls the highest gets to choose what happens." Dude, Sisters went for several editions and the only "Codex" we got was an article in White Dwarf. Before that our "Codex" was a .PDF on the Games Workshop web site that Sherlock Holmes and his bloodhound Toby would have had a tough time finding.

I don't expect to actually see a Sisters codex. Chapter Approved 2018 will be out in December, and there will be three pages in it and that will be all the "Codex" Sisters get.

And I'm convinced that the only reason we'll get that much is because we're too powerful as an Index army and they feel the need to Nerfhammer us.

Not really. All the codexes are soon to be done so if they don't do new versions of codexes they run out of codexes to release. Releasing new codex is like pushing print money button. Thus they have incentive to release new codexes. Which either means they have to ridiculously up the number of different codexes or do what they always have done and keep redoing codexes.

wait wut?
I thought the official word was all factions would have their Codex out by december?!

Apparently Sisters are getting a trial/beta codex in Chapter Approved. Sometime after that, but no later then the following December they're supposed to get a full-in-it's-own-book codex, and updated plastic range. They're also supposed to be sharing the design process with us as they go, both for the models and the rules.

It was also all "Emperor Willing" and we have not heard a thing since.

Out of those three, I guess knights are the most interesting. I would love to see them to make a regular return to the tabletop, but without being the IWIN button they used to be.

While I like the idea of death watch basically creating your own units, in the end you still get Codex:The other, other, other black Marines.

I've always loved harlequin in the fluff, but I never felt like their table-top presence matched that, so don't care.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

December is 7 months away, 2019 is even further off and there's still a bunch more books to come out before then - Imperial Knights, Harlequins, Deathwatch, Space Wolves, Orks, etc. I'm not expecting to hear further news till those are done.

World Eaters and Emp Children codex releases should be fun. Along with the Black Legion one that's been rumored. Bring on the Primarchs!
