No buddy, you're cool. Don't sweat it. We're only missing about 50 lists right now so well done to everyone!

We're pinging the stragglers now to get their lists in or potentially get a Yellow Card coming in to the event.

@Brother Erekose

Yeah, good tips on the clock. We have longer breaks between rounds this year to make it easier to navigate the hall and to have plenty of time to get to your table, get set up, etc. Plus, with BCP's round timer, you'll know exactly where you are with regards to time, it will be awesome.

And again, to anyone coming that wants access to a clock to be sure you do not get slow played, bring your own clock! We are bringing a lot but not nearly enough for everyone, not even close. Don't expect to have access to an LVO clock. However, if you're not worried about it then nothing to worry about =) It's not mandatory but like I have been saying, once you get used to it it is so much better.

Wow, the new Elvis for the LVO 40k Champs trophy is absolutely stunning!

Huge thanks to our friend Tyson over at Figure Painters that handled the management of getting this custom sculpt and then painted it in his typical, amazing quality. This guys is also HUGE! Look at the Space Marine at his foot for scale.

We’ve come a long way from the original golden Elvis who is showing his age quite a bit but at the time we had him made was quite the dashing lad.

So long dear friend, you have served us well. But now, on to the bigger, better and more awesome Elvis for the LVO 2019!

@Eihnlazer

Elvis is a part of the trophy, it doesn't actually go home with anyone as it cost so much money to make. He's massive! Haha, like, titan sized.

If you do win though, you get your name immortalized on the trophy with the names of the other winners!

We're looking at making smaller versions of him for trophies for LVO 2020, we just didn't have time to do it this year. It took the better part of the year to get him designed, printed, cast and painted.

@Bullboy

I always recommend checking out the pub crawl if that type of thing interests you as it is good fun and a great way to make new friends!

Other than that, the GW seminar is awesome and there's lots to just see and do beyond the tournaments and such.

Oh yeah, I mostly just said that to see if anyone would rag on me for saying i'd win it. I figured it was more like a Sports championship trophy were you just had the rights to hold it for a bit but it wasn't yours.

Yeah, exactly. You get your picture with it and your name on it! It's really cool to see the list of names grow over the years.

Will the lists be published before the event?

They will!

We're giving people that formatted their lists incorrectly or were over on points, etc. a little time to fix their lists. We're emailing everyone with errors and letting them know they need to get it fixed ASAP.

The plan is to make the lists public in the near future. Just want to give a little wiggle room as the system is new and people are unfamiliar with it.

There are times and locations when you scroll down. Further scrolling down a ways ... I'm in the blue "That's what I do: I drink and I know things" t-shirt. I have all the LVO con badges on my right wrist (bragging!). My eyes are half closed, yammering on to a wonderful gal from ... Sweden, I think. Her hubby is holding the decidedly blond looking ale. Nice folks. Looking forward to maybe playing against Karl in the TLW doubles.

Hello,

Quick question might have already been answered, the list postings/yellow cards is this just for the 3 day tournament or does this go for the Sunday Mini 3 round RTT as well?

Only for the Champs! The RTTs are slightly less structured due to how crazy it is with no-shows and walk-ins.

Just be sure to have a clearly printed and legible list for the RTTs, ready to rock and have fun!

So here's a super random question:

Has anyone that has registered to go to LVO had a group member drop out and now needs another person to cut down on cost in their hotel room? I'm a 31 yo male, neat, don't snore and you can pretend I'm not a stranger you met on the Internet!

I know it's random, but I got the wild hair to go to this last-minute and just wanted to check. PM me if you wanna!

I'd also be totally up for a partner for the Long War Doubles tournament on Saturday!

Did the second wave of 'your list has errors' go out yet? I resubmitted a corrected version and haven't gotten confirmation it's good or still bad yet.

aka an email after your 7pm CST email from the 28th, Reece.

I'm starting to get very aggravated with this list system. I've had three people check my format and list before the second submission. It was again rejected. No explanation as to why. This system needs to have a way to identify what the problem is!

As far as I can tell it's working fine, the list is as it should be, the points are correct, etc, however, the LVO team doesn't think it is. At this point I am entirely unsure of what to do about it.

In the future, it might be worth it to test something like this more than two weeks before the event is set to happen. I know I'm not the only one going through this, but it is adding a ton of stress to an already stressful situation for some of us.

Had my first one rejected too but I think I know what the problem was for me. I typed out points and not the correct pts. However - if this one gets sent back without an explanation....yeah - I'll literally be without an idea of what to fix. I think there is a good chance a person isn't actually looking at it or there would be an explanation in the email.

My issue was minor on the first go round. Fixed that explained issue which was literally turning a 9 to an 8. It got rejected the second time for another issue. For me both were valid just would have preferred if they noted ALL the issues with a list instead of just one so I can keep resubmitting.

Hey guys, yeah, we're at about 95% of the lists being correctly uploaded.

Again, almost everyone is making the same exact mistakes which we noted here: https://bestcoastpairings.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022552391-Warhammer-40k-List-Submission-FAQ

If you check that, then read your list you are most likely going to see what you did wrong. You probably didn't write the word detachment in the header for a detachment, or included the < > characters which you shouldn't.

And bear in mind, this is a new piece of software, the BCP guys are hustling to improve it as we go and in time it will run smooth as silk.

We're going to make sure everyone gets the fixes they need, but we're trying to help everyone help themselves as stated, those still having an issue are pretty much all making the same mistake. So read that forum and I bet you see what you did wrong.

As annoying as it can be to learn a new format, what we get out of it is absolutely worth it. Lists will largely be validated to avoid people being over on points, factions get reported correctly for awards and rankings, lists are visible to avoid anyone trying some shenanigans with swapping lists mid-event, etc. It makes the overall experience better for everyone.

Plus the data we get out of this tool is invaluable and will help to make the game better.

So thanks to everyone for working with us to get this bad ass new tool up and running as it will benefit all of us long term. Just can be frustrating to learn a new system in the short term.

We appreciate your patience as we work out the kinks here.

As most of you have noticed... this is being done in a mostly automated fashion for these first few passes and is 99% formatting only.

There is a limited amount of legality checks we can do with any accuracy.

BCP, Casey, the second coolest guy named 'Casey' in 40k!

Hey, there!

@all:
I actually did receive specific reasons (and they were right):
1. Reason: Listed points add up to more than the army total in Craftworld – Alaitoc faction by 46 points.
2. Reason: Listed PL add up to more than army total in Craftworld faction by 3 PL.

Maybe I'm more loved than the rest of you guys ... because I share a name with a really cool dude.

Yeah, I have been keeping my eye on FB and such and the players frustrated with trying to follow the script are being helped by fellow gamers who figured it out, so thanks to everyone assisting their fellow gamers!

It's cool too though, we've noticed quite a few lists over on points as Casey noted, and those players got it fixed before showing up with an illegal list and possibly having a very unenjoyable experience as a result of it.
