Grots in the Machine
Hey folks,
Serious talk time.
Yesterday, we were informed of a security issue on games-workshop.com.
The issue was brought to our attention by a loyal and eagle-eyed fan who was met with an unusual pop-up on the site and immediately alerted our customer service team.
Our on-site tech adepts swiftly dealt with the errant code, and all is now well.
We do know though that around 18 people interacted with the pop-up which looked like this:
If you saw this MetaMask pop-up while visiting our site over the weekend and input any data into it, we’d suggest that you reset your MetaMask login details immediately.
If you have any queries in connection with the above, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.

Everyone else – don’t panic!
This was quite a specific security issue that only affected users of the MetaMask program. Despite this breach only affecting a handful of people, we wanted to tell you all about it in the spirit of openness because we think it’s right that you guys know there was an issue, and we want you to know that we’ve sorted it.
The good news is that our security on the website checkout remains secure – your personal information and data held in your games-workshop.com account are safe.
We’ve taken this opportunity to re-check and shore up all of our web security so that fortifications across all our websites are locked down tighter than an Iron Warrior’s lunchbox.
The Emperor Protects.

Hopefully nobody on Dakka is among the 18 potential victims
