... think is about time we got an Ork threat closing in.
New info on orkz already surfacing.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

- It will be one of the more renovated armies up to this moment, as much as in rules and miniatures

- The Orks would now stay in the background and advance of the story in the Great Fall very close to the imperial positions.

- There will be the output of multiple kits in both characters and units.

- Many of the existing units are going to change a lot in their current rules.

- They will receive a new bipod / walker and could be of enormous size imperial style.

- This walker would have many combinations of assembly and armament.

- The arrival of a new great leader Ghazhkull among the novelties is expected.

To me this looks like a typical vague guess post with a bit of the already debunked ork Knight picture thrown in for good measure,.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Any idea on that source's track-record? Also, can we get a better translation?

A giant Ghaz and even a kustom stompa / slasha gargant aren't exactly what I was hoping for, but I guess that's what sells these days.

Adding a new sprue to the stompa seems viable; a couple of new weapon options and maybe different feet to allow some variation in posing. It's rules would need to be seriously improved to make it competitive with knights though.

There's still that rumour engine image of something that could possibly be an ork wheel and a rather orky looking (presumably) double gun barrel which suggests wheeled vehicles and maybe some kind of shooty infantry could be on the agenda, which I would be more excited about.

Persistent mutterings about Gorkamorka returning strike me as unlikely given the rest of the stuff we know is coming out this year, but who knows. Could be a forgebane style box, a quick game in the vein of IK: Renegade or an expansion for Kill-Team (whatever the new KT actually is) or even Necromunda (possibly with some 'plot development' of orks invading the planet, ash-waste nomads or necromundan guard regiment as an opposing force and maybe associated rules for bringing gangers into 40k).

I would say Gorkamorka has more chance of returning now than ever before, considering how GW is revising most of their other older games to the tabletop in some form. They can even do it purely as a rules release with a boxed set and just go off existing ork models with more focus on customising and conversion within the system; perhaps introducing more custom/conversion style rules (eg upgrades that are not modelled but which encourage conversion). Considering that orks cobble things together all the time conversions wouldn't be as challenging as for some other factions.

The risk would be returning it in some form that it gets continued attention considering all the other lines GW is taking on right now; so it might be for the future (Titanicus is just around the corner, Blood Bowl and Necromunda are going strong, there's eternal rumblings of a Battlefleet return, Shadspire continues to go strongly)

maybe its just the mystical translation, but I'm imagining someone intoning this from a dark hooded robe while doing woogly-fingers.

"oooooohhhhh, and there shall be kit models anew and rules changes, the portents speak of great upheaval within the orks! Additionally, everyone who reads this post will DIE!!! eventually..."

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

To be fair GW is totally focused on the big 2.0 Sigmar launch so we probably won't hear anything orky for a while yet. And if the rumours are this dry then it suggests orks will be after the wolves

Crap rumor with all the regular BS included from the previous rumors going around.

I've been playing Orks since the beginning of 5th and all I ask for is that we get a release as balanced (relative statement I know) and effective as all the other armies releases have been.

Also, refresh a few kits please?

Mostly I want them to quit treating Orks like a joke and make us an army who can win with multiple army builds.

I'd kill to dust off my Kans and actually feel some what competitive with them.

Probably july-august for both. Unlikely GW willl make months long pause for main cashcow plus GW's statement of within year for codexes.

I vaguely remember them saying it was wolves and then Orks from the Q&A at the UK Games Expo, they definitely lead with SW when they said which codices were up next.

There's a pic in the knight's thread with gorkamorka being scheduled for september I think. Has this been debunked or is there some truth to it?

Do we have any time frame on when they are scheduling to release stuff for the Orks army (i.e. Codex, new Start Collecting box)?

All my Shoota Boyz are painted as Bad Moons soooo I hope they get a good Trait! All the other Boyz are neutral for now, but I have a preference for Lootaz... I'm gonna work on skin and weapon details first before settling on Clan colors.

This is the one release I'm most excited about.

Next three months, when people asked about the RT Kill Team game I think that was the time frame to expect to start hearing something about that (September/Oct - my own guess for a November release, but seems Kill Team is going to be some weird other thing, which might be why Genestealer cult are going there first and they're not getting a codex on the schedule). Would also track with the previous initial previews and releases

So instead of starting a thread when GW officially announces the forthcoming codex, we get a thread for this Google translated mush.

Gorkamorka is coming back. It was on the release schedule.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

What release schedule? Only one I have seen was one on rumours which already has inaccurate info(and claimed orks for november. But we can be pretty darn sure GW wouldn't have announced orks and wolves already if one of them was coming november. That's equally silly as some people claiming knights would come july-august due to AOS2.0 despite having been announced. No GW wouldn't announce and then have one of the trio appear with months gap). Havent' seen any official or even reliable rumour source say anything about gorkamorka.
