Granted she’s no mere underling, but Kelly has multiple violations of the Hatch Act as well as using her position for the personal financial gain of then Trump family and nothing has happened to her yet. So I wouldn’t hold my breath and I think it’s more likely that there will be some sort of “White House staff can’t violate the Hatch Act” statement forthcoming.

I wish they would just say the truth;
"President Trump and his underlings cannot violate any Acts - but don't you worry, once a Democrat is in the White House, we will take it really seriously."

But only on the House/Senate floor...right? Or do they have immunity at all times? But Trump having a government employee (since he does not always tweet himself) go after them violates Hatch. If he himself posted it, might fly, but having a glorified secretary do it however...
It certainly sounds like him...curious if anyone can prove it/fess up.

Well Trump seems to listen to Alex Jones at least, based on the things he's said about him. They certainly have a lot of crazy conspiracy overlap.

More to the point...what motorcycle companies that arent already in the US is Trump working with to bring here? Especially that would compete for HD's already shrinking target market?

This does not surprise me with Trump. A more reasoned point would be that Harley sales fell because Trump was voted in. At least the timeframe is more realistic albeit unlikely to be connected.

Aye, HD is no victim here at all, and is planning a move to Thailand for some production as well from what I understand. HD's dip in 2017 sales is due to stuffing themselves into a shrinking target market and pricing themselves out any entry level options, and the market has responded appropriately.
Trump trying to play Time Lord over it is however quite silly

In other news, while the motives are questionable at best, I fully support acting against affirmative action: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/trump-administration-reverses-obama-on-affirmative-action/ar-AAzxjBd?li=BBnb7Kz
The first reason I oppose it is principle; giving minorities favored status is effectively discrimination against whites, which is illegal and simply not the right way to do things. As mentioned in the article there is also spillover into larger minorities as well.
The second is because affirmative action doesn't work. It results in students getting into higher level colleges than they would normally; colleges they tend not to be prepared for and drop out of at a higher rate. On average it makes said minority students worse off than if they had gone to a lower level school.

There was actual a Law and Order episode about this. It was pretty good if you can find it.
I'm mixed about Affirmative Action. I believe that when it was introduced, it was absolutely needed, and to an extent it still is. I also feel that while we still need it, the day we can chuck it is fast approaching. Also, NinthMusketeer brought up a very valid point about the effects of students getting into schools they aren't ready for, and ending up worse off as a result.

Affirmative Action is a good thing when it is as intended. That means when all else is equal, the minority gets chosen as they likely had to work harder to be (seen as) equal.

I think the issue of affirmative action is more one of implementation than principle.
In terms of principle it's fine by me. Equality cannot truly exist within some effort at establishing equity, at least at a baseline. Over two centuries of exploitation and discrimination cheated a lot of minorities out of equal shared of economic growth, cultural development, and wealth accumulation. Redress through affirmative action is one of the most direct means of dealing with the issue.
Unfortunately the US implementation is horrifically flawed. Might as well blow air into a balloon with holes on two ends. We focus on "how many black kids make it out of high school" instead of "how many black kids are getting prepared for college." And then we focus on "how many black kids make it too college," rather than "how many black kids make it out of college with a degree." Instead of comprehensive programs built to even an uneven playing field (something that necessitates community wide effort and support, a monumental challenge), we have half-hearted feel good measures that let us trumpet what a great job we're doing while leaving the people supposedly intended to be helped floundering in confusion.
And yes there is a very good episode of Law and Order about this topic
Affirmative action initiatives are rendered impotent when they are cut off at the knees, and simply measured for success from the shin.
